South Korea - The Doha Rounds will be successful once the United States cuts back farm subsidies and provides a new impetus for multilateral negotiations.

For South Korea, ensuring food security helps is an issue of national security since its next-door neighbor, North Korea, survives of outside food aid and is chronically facing shortages.

Any drastic reduction in trade as a result of the collapse of the Doha Rounds damages South Korea's economic wellbeing. 60% of South Korea's GDP comes from imports and exports. However, opening up its entire service sector, including its movie industry, will kill it. So let's go slowly, one step at a time.
