Conspiracy Theories and Nasrallah's Fate

Damascus, Syria -- Some observers, who believe in conspiracy theories, argue that some outside party convinced Hezbollah into this offensive. The purpose was to give Hezbollah enough rope to hang itself and commit "political suicide." The objective, at a very...

Schroder:

Hypocrisy and double standards are the norms in the 21st century politics, all the killings, atrocities, hunger/famine, civil wars, deseases, injustices in the whole worlds, are of course created or committed by the agly monsters USA, Israel, Britain and some other Western countries.
I am reading the Holy Quran and about Islam, and I find Islam, despite all the missinformation and demonisation to be the true religion of God, it promotes justice, peace, respeect of man and woman, it promote love for the parents, neighbours, man and woman, it is perfectly balanced in every way, it offer and fills all the emptiness in people, should the whole world follow Islam as a way of life, there would be no poverty, no wars, no atrocities, peace and happiness and prosperity will reign. I invite everyone to read the Holy Quran and read about the teachings and the Sunnah of the Holy Prophet, and , I can asssure you, you will find the answers to all your questions no matter what they are. I know now that the destruction of many civilisations was done by God, because they have transgessed, committed big atrocities aand wrong deeds, Where are Faraons, Bizentium, Romans,
The Holy Quran mentions a lot of Messengers came for sspecific nations to guide them because they have committed very bad things, when they refused to believe in God, they were wiped out one way or the other, many prophets came to the Jews, unfortunatly, they did not stop their wickedness, hence the world is suffering now. The USA will find the same fate of previous civilisations, no doubt, so, but when, only God know as they have committed many unimaginable atrocities etc. as for the jews, it is very clear what their fate is in the Holy Quran, Please take my invitation to read and explore islam, you will be saved wne the day comes.

the only conspiracy I see is the oportunity the US and Israel have to engage in a war with Iran before the go nuclear, at the expence of the lebanese people, the reason they will argue for bombing Iran will be the fact that they back hezbola! but who knows what that will bring? the US in the last 30 years has not done very well foreseen the results of their actions abroad! just look at cuba, vietnam or iraq!

styx:

the whole article on "conspiracy" theory or theories -- simply does not make sense. The conflict itself is v. simple-- jew/israeli/zionist against a mentality of nasrallah --fit for the dark ages-- if not worse! There is no logic, no long term planning in the Hezbollah moves and speeches except to repeat what was said --1,5,10,20,30,40,50 yrs. ago..and some more. Where is the will and the wish to make a thriving palestinian state -- which is given to them on a golden platter -- where is the will to better the economic lives and thinking of their populations -- compare an "arab" (sitting next to Nasrallah or in the refugee camps) and the arab --having raised a decent family either in USA and/or western democracies --which one is better off?...The game that the Nasrallah mentality plays for is an unknown number in the politics of the 21st century -- a hostage for what purpose? a Lebanon that was considered at one time the Paris of the middle east--going to ruins -- for Mr. Nasrallah who does not have a long term plan and/or ideaology except --misery, suffering -- and a push button rockets supplied by a third party. Israel on the other hand has a purpose to live -- and let live (when left alone!) One humanity on this small planet--yet so many divergent points of view and some like the nasrallah -- no point of view at all. Time to read, to be educated, to be cultured -- to live this life fully -- for all its inhabitants. Voila. In this short space -- I rest my case.

Such brave words from someone in Syria. You use the word "we" and pretend that you (Syrians) are part of this war. Bombs are falling on the Lebanese Shiites and Israelis, not Syrians. Syrians are just spectators, goading others to fight while they watch TV and enjoy seeing bombs hit Israeli ships and cities.

Mr. Moubayed says:
"We can slightly alter this realty by showing the Israelis that we too can respond, with our limited means.
Nasrallah has proven to the world that we are not passive bystanders who watch our nation being attacked and stand aback idly, doing nothing in its defense."

Greetings with full appreciation to Mr Hassan Nassar Alllah
I do agree with every single word within your article Dr Mr Sami
I do not ask why Saudi Arabia had these views and their stand from the Islamic Resistance , if you truly consider them to be Muslims I can not imagine the the sectarian hatred they held within them. therefore I wont consider them Muslims due to the hatred they hold within them what ever their belongings and believes . therefore foremost they do not belong to Islam or have any links with it , the only way i can justify their action and views due to their fear of the Islamic Iranian weapon and the what is called the access of evil. therefore their non fear of the Israeli nuclear weapons it could only be explained that these Israeli nuclear is with the hands of their friends , therefore the source for these weapons is one therefore who have no fear of the Israeli nuclear weapon but fear the Islamic Iranian weapon which is not born yet...... let me think of a conspiracy and have question marks about such issue and please for anyone who does have a nother explanation please feel free and say it and express it

a pitty on you Mr Nasrallah ......!!!!!!! you should have printed some invitation cards for the Arab leaders the respectful ones to come nag join the celebration of the kidnapping of the Israeli soldiers therefore they wont be upset with you

it surprises me how eager and obsessed we are about the enforcement of UN-resolutions,
when some poor third world country ignores some sort of UN resolution, yet how many UN resolutions against israel do we have and nobody seems to care,
it is a world full of hypocrisy, where justice and morality are dead long ago
none so blind as those who won't see, none deaf as those who won't hear

yknot:

Conspiracy theories and Nasrallah's Fate.

Concise and informative but in my opinion falls a bit short on why things are the way they are in the ME since the creation of two states by UN Resolutions in 1948/49.

No one was charged with the responsability of enforcing the UN Resolutions. They were left adrift [along with the people in the affected areas to external politics].

The Lebanese Government and people have been the ones most impacted by events since then.

No one seems to make mention or give a thought to the thousands of refugees still in camps in Lebanon. The Lebanese Government has avoided the stance that they were obligated to take many years ago.

And that is a demand to the UN Security Council for the immediate relocation of all refugees in Lebanon to other countries. Or at the least demand payments equivalent per capita to what Israel has received and receives from the US on a yearly basis. [According to estimates Israel has already received close to $120 billion].

Given the stances taken by the actors in the region one would think that Leabnon has a trump card it can play with some of the actions taken by Hezbollah.

The number of men, women and children being killed can not go on for another 50 years or so. Bold leadership and decisive acts if not taken soon can only mean that more killings are inevitable. And if the Hezbollah were to disappear as the necons in the US wish. some other group in the future will also be used as an excuse to continue to destroy Lebanon.

It does seem that getting back to enforcing the original UN Resolutions that created both Israel and Palestine might be the only worthwhile act to take.
