While I am not a fan of israel.
But i do find the rhetorical cornered growl suggested by the likes of 'patel' quite pusilanimous...
The kind of snarl a cat gives before running away.
Just what is this silly idea that some how non muslims will flip a switch on 20% of muslims to go jihadi on the rest of the world.
Now if it is their desire to be martyred and be united with 72 hoors I think the rest of non muslims will generate 5% of people who will be quite receptive to the idea of sending the 20% to hoors.

Re: MJ Akbar's brilliant predictions about the Israeli-Lebanese fiasco, I agree with wholeheartedly.
The two biggest losers, besides the innocent Lebanese civilians and innocent Israeli civilians, are Ohlmert and Bush.
As to Mr. Akbar's question, "how to fix the white house rubble"...many of us are trying our very best to clean the Republican cobwebs from our House of Reps. Unfortunately, we do not have a united Democratic Party to make that happen easily while Bush and his coterie are busy manufacturing a terror threat every day and rule the poor masses through fear-mongering.
Sounds familiar? It worked when Goebbels and Hitler did that in Germany. The same technique is now doing well in the US. Our Press has also been intimidated by the relentless White House refrain of "if you are not with us, you are against us". Only God can help the USA, i.e., a God who would not be scripted by the born-again crusader George W. Bush.

Patel, what if 20% of the Non-Muslims - lvingly called "Kuffar" get mad and want to kill the Jihadi's? Where will the Islamics run?? lion, my foot !! More like a Jackal (Giddad)
Thise who speak about muslim anger - ignore non-muslim anger at their own peril.
Once the non-muslims are roused - they will destroy islamic fascists as sure as the sun rises in the east.Like Maharaja Ranjit Singh did in the Punjab and Afghanistan..
REMEMBER 5 BILLION IS MORE THAN 1 BILLION.

in my view this is the beginning of the thirdworld war which netradamus has predicted with miscalculation of arabs and Nuke retaliation by the isrealies.Gen Gul the former chief of ISI is openly advocating Nuking Isreal and sending pakistani army to help the hizbollah.
Sir,
I really dont know what you are saying. I think president Musharraf is doing a good job for pakistan by siding with the US and Israel. I hope u know that Israel has more than 100 nukes ad if some country were to even threaten israel they probably will take everyone down with them. Israel doesnt seem to care about European powers any more. Also do you know that
Israel has some of the sophisicated nuclear submarines.
So lets be careful in what we wish for. Let us leave a world for the next generation of children

The end of this game is as clear and as obvious as the day.
The destruction of islamic fascists at the hand of the free people of India, Israel and USA
Let the Pakis and the Hezbollahs and the Iranians try to nuke Israel or India. There will be no Middle East left. None.

The White House rubble required quick-fixes ever since Wilsonianism became a key ingredient in US foreign policy.
In a rush to 'free' people around the world, foreign policy mandarins in the US always backed the wrong horse, counting on its ability to ensure and preserve US interests.
What we are witnessing now is the flagging off of middle America into the greater world of which its people know very little about. Perceptions of American mid-west rarely extend beyond the coasts.
A hyper-power without any challengers near and far, the US, instead of getting to the bottom of the crisis, which calls for impartial refereeing in the world's most volatile region, is somewhat blatant in furthering Israeli interests.
It is a tragedy that millions of innocent civilians including children in the middle east are at the mercy of the same middle American psyche, which still associates beards and turbans with terrorists and lacks socio-religious-cultural relativism.

sir,
1.Hizbollah is able to take the punishment given by Isreali airforce from air (without any ackack from ground and enemy aircraft)and still fire those katyushas. How? How it is managing the logistics of even carrying manually the launchers and the ammo?
2.It is fighting like an established army the merkava tanks and disabling them. The missiles supplied by russia seems to be effective not only as an anti/tank weapon but also it has killed more Isreali soldiers.
3.One can easily see the desperation of isreal to get the international force on ground in southern lebanon by destroying the Infrastructure/economic assets of lebanese elite so that they will accept disarming of hizbollah and stationing of internationla force.
4.Saudiarabia and UAE which opposed and crticised nasrullah at the beginning of the conflict are now supporting the 15,000 lebanese force, withdrawal from shebafarms,Minelayout plan, exchange of prisoners etc a far cry from when they never had military muscle to talk at UN security council.
5.i think this conflict has changed the invincibility of IDF and given those regimes something to thinkabout if they had good training and motivation.
6.in my view this is the beginning of the thirdworld war which netradamus has predicted with miscalculation of arabs and Nuke retaliation by the isrealies.Gen Gul the former chief of ISI is openly advocating Nuking Isreal and sending pakistani army to help the hizbollah!!!!!!!!!!

Iran and Hezbollah are following the IRA-Sinn Fein format of dual structure. The sooner they are given serious political consideration, the better as they will then set aside violence. It worked in Ireland.
The Israelis are more and more looking like the outdated Loyalists with their old leaders.

The money powers that control lots of the banks probably dont like chaos or wars if they cannot predict who is going to win the wars.
Once lebanese have been expelled up to the litani river the land grab begins.
So i contradict myself and say that the money powers like wars, so they can grab land and expand their territories. I am sure the money powers are financing both the hezbollah and the israelis at the same time, probably the israelis more. once the ordinary lebanes e are driven away, the land is occupied or given to hezbollah so that they can extort money from working lebanese. the hezbollah must be working hand in glove with the mossad.
In the end these wars are an eyewash for wealth transfer and robbing from poor lebanese. Religion is a pure diversionary tactic

Mr. Akbar;
I agree with your analysis in the near future. But what are the long trem consequences of Hezbollah and Iran getting stronger. Iran and Hezbollah want destruction of Isreal. If they try to push Isreal into a corner they will destroy the entire Middle East before they are destroyed. I don't think any one wishes destruction of the middle east.
