Anju Chandel, New Delhi, India:

I think it is the problem with all TV sitcoms all across the world that they seldom seem to depict the reality of the society. I too wonder why on earth would so many 'normal' people get addicted to things so absurd? I completely avoid all such programs and concentrate on my favourite topics like world/national affairs and sports. ... But then who am I to judge anybody's choices? Happy viewing to all couch potatoes :)

Miklos:

your last sentence describes the best way to deal with sitcoms, Discovery type "educational Programs" and what goes on as news in Canada. Turn the bloody TV off and read a book - better yet, do not waste money in buying a tv, spend the funds on books or on vists to a GOOD LIBRARY
