Anyone who thinks they know the answer about attending this conference should read Daoud Kuttab's opinion. He is right on the money.

If you invited us into the club, deciding things behind our back, with no input from us, and then "speaking in one voice" to us is a bit unfair. Friends do not present friends with ultimata. Either you are a G-7 or we are a G-8, but make up your mind - you cannot be both at the same time.
