Why not a Kurd state in northern Iraq? Could hardly be worse than the status quo.
Serbia chose its fate when it attacked civilian populations in Croatia, Bosnia, and Kosovo on the basis of ethnic origin. The more they strive for a "Greater Serbia", the more they will end up with a lesser Serbia. European states who remember the World Wars will do everything they can to reduce the power of aggressive ethnic nationalists. It is unfortunate that Milosevic unleashed the worst sentiments of his people in a failed effort to bolster his own power, but modern-day Serbs need to understand that their influence and reputation in the world will be enhanced only by positive accomplishments, not by angry yet empty words.
