Poland - Dividing Iraq into two, three or any number of ethnic enclaves would be a truly disastrous idea. Iraq has to remain as a multicultural, multiethnic regional power to counter growing and extremely aggresive ambitions of Islamic Iran.
If Iraq had been divided, the Shia south of Iraq would fall into the hands of Iran, creating unstable and unpredictable region too close to the borders of Saudi Arabia and Kuwait. We would face a number of regional conflicts and local wars.
Keeping Iraq together will mean, however, giving as much power to the ethnic and religious groups as possible. That means that except for the foreign and defense policy, and possibly oil policy, Kurds, Shia and Sunni should be able to govern themselves.
The best scenario for Iraq is a democratic federal state with wide political, economic and social autonomy for the three regions.
