It's funny to compare Bush to Khomeini, yet they both seem to believe that God is whispering into their ears. The only question is whose God is wiser ?

And if you can't go look into it, here's one recent hint of many, the Iraq surprise invasion which had a behind the scenes nod of approval and support. When Iranian citiziens were indiscriminately bombed, and chemical weapons were used against them, you didn't see any front page articles or any TV stations reporting it did you? if we continue with the present and prevailing bankrupt foreign policy, is it in the interest of the United States? is it? questions questions. They made serious contacts and suggestions for discussing and resolving everything (including their nuclear energy program, and its fuel), to no avail, do you blame them? this is why that now they have someone like Ahmadinejad as president for the time being.
By the way they have uranium natural resources, why buy and be dependent on foreign governments on such a very important matter for the country's energy? would you (and with such past records)? It's time to talk and let all old wounds heal, they're not anti-western, some are trying very hard to make them become anti-western for their own selfish and personal reasons. In the long run, an opening of relations with Iran on any level is a win win, and with lots of surplus trade. Governments come and go (or in the case of IRI they have become more moderate when compared to their first 15 years in power), the people and countries don't.

OS AMERICANOS NÃO ESTÃO E NÃO ENTRARÃO EM RECESSÃO

Acho que a decisão do FED(Banco Central americano) foi muito importante para a economia dos USA e para o Mundo, e por que :

- Em menos de quatro meses, passou as taxas de juros de 5,25% para 4,25%, com redução de quase 24% sobre os encargos financeiros nos Titulos do Tesouro e a redução acumulada nas taxas de juros é de um ponto porcentual.

-Para uma dívida do Tesouro, que gira em torno de USD 9,2 trilhões, os ganhos nominais sobre ela, em apenas 12 meses, passarão de USD 100 bilhões.

-O nível de desemprego, no país, não passa de 5% ( melhor média de primeiro mundo) e previsão de crescimento do PIB entre 2/3%, não é inexpressivo p/quem detem 2/3 do PIB mundial e por se tratar de um país quase pronto e com elevada poupança interna ( o que falta ao Brasil).

-Quando se fala em juros altos, pensa-se logo no exemplo brasileiro, para comparação, poís ainda praticamos as maiores taxas do planeta.

Veja, o Japão cobra juros abaixo de 1% ao ano; a UE, abaixo de 5% ao ano; inglaterra, abaixo de 6% ao ano e a china também.

-E os chineses, declararam , hoje, com satisfação, o crescimento de 18% no consumo varejista interno, porque realmente passaram a ser voltar mais para a economia do país e viabilizar a melhoria nas condições de vida do seu povo.Um PIB alto, mas um povo miserável, não era o que queriam os chineses.O país está buscando formulas para que o povo participe dessas riquesas, o que estamos também fazendo aquí no Brasil e com competencia.

- O que se vê é que os Estados Unidos estão formatando um novo modelo capitalista,menos perverso, deixando que os excessos e os abusos do mercado financeiro, a partir de agora, deverão ser assumidos com ônus e bônus pelos seus personagens principais e não mais pelo Tesouro americano.Acabou a fase da democratização dos lucros e da socialização dos prejuízos.

Aproveitando esse grande momento, o FMI, os Bancos Centrais Mundiais e o BIS, poderiam criar Normas ou regulamentos capazes de evitar, com eficiencia, que o sistema financeiro especulativo não continue sendo mais importante do que as próprias NAÇÕES e os seus Governantes.

No entanto, as decisões do FED já acarretaram ao nosso país prejuízos superiores aos investimentos financeiros na construção de uma ferrovia do Arroio ao Chuí, se considerarmos as receitas geradas com as reservas internacionais, em dólares e os custos e encargos financeiros internos e externos para mante-las

Com a remuneração abaixo de 6% ( seis por cento) ao ano, em paises da europa e ásia, o capital volátil e especulativo está aportando no Brasil, que ofecere para ele rendimentos quase 100% superiores.

-Se o governo não adotar medidas fiscais sérias, não será pequeno o volume de recursos do Tesouro Nacional que serão direcionados para a improdutivade, que só concentra riquesas,nas mãos de uma infíma minoria, sem gerar mais empregos ou renda e sim, a descapitalização de nossa poupança interna.

E com o agravante da valorização artificial do R$ e do Seguro bancado pelo Banco Central se ocorrer viés negativo no US$ que entrarem no país. Logo, o especulador está absolutamente seguro p/os seus rendimentos.

-Um Diretor do Fed chegou a declarar que muitos países , inclusive com endosso ou omissão dos Bancos Centrais e das áreas economicas, estão ampliando ou reduzindo os efeitos da crise americana, para ganhar mais dinheiro na especulação financeira.

Não há momento melhor para o Governo e para aumento das disponibilidade dos recursos do Tesouro, como esse de economia em crescimento real, melhor distribuição das riquesas e a inflação de Primeiro Mundo

Se temos inflação de primeiro mundo, está na hora de ser Primeiro Mundo no pagamento de Ágio para a rolagem de nossa dívida. E olha, se pagarmos ágio de 50% acima da maior remuneração paga no primeiro mundo, ficariamos com uma selic anual em 9%, ainda mais de que dobro da inflação anual. . E esses 9% representam ganhos nominais de mais de R$ 40 bilhões sobre os R$ 160 bilhões de juros pagos anualmente, com uma selic de 11,25%.

Pense quantas prioridades sairiam do sonho para se tornar realidade , com tanto dinheiro que hoje só beneficia um pequeno grupo de privilegiados.

The time from the availability of enough nuclear material to create a bomb to its creation was months.

This was all accomplished with no prior knowledge or even if the concept would actually work. All of this knowledge about how to create a bomb is now in the public domain.

Iran has a "civilian" program to create enriched uranium that is outside of any external review. Even if there is no "military" program, creation of a bomb is easily possible within months of the availability of uranium from the "civilian" program.

Why is Iran spending huge amounts of money and using long obsolete techniques to create enriched uranium for power generation when they could purchase the uranium on the open market for a fraction of the cost? The only difference is that the uranium would be under external review to make sure it is not diverted into bombs.

When the NIE answers this question, then we can have some clarity about continuing the 5 year old negotiation process.

The wall of mistrust is too high for this kind of wishful thinking. This is not a kind of Nixon to China kind of thing....the American view of Iranian leadership is akin to their view of Ho Chi Minh, with whom America never negotiated. USA is stuck in the past and is wasting the time of the rest of the world.

You are presuming intentions of the United States to negotiate in good faith, when in fact The Decider wants to override learned research of 16 professional government agencies with his "feelings". That is hardly a negotiating partner worthy of the time and effort!
