Amman, Jordan - North Korea clearly wasn't interested in its nuclear program per se. There was and still is little chance that they'll actually use nuclear weapons if they indeed have the capacity to make and deliver them.
Amman, Jordan/Ramallah, Palestine - If we look at how much money is given to Israel both directly and indirectly and if we consider how much money is given for weapons that bring misery and injustice, the time is now ripe for a major Marshall Plan for Palestine that will help bring hope to Palestinians.
Amman, Jordan/Ramallah, Palestine - Before talking about troop withdrawals, the U.S. must admit it made a mistake in using American troops to occupy an Arab country. We need to hear from the White House or the U.S. Congress make a clear statement that unilateral international action was a mistake, irrespective of the problems with Saddam's regime. The U.S. must show willingness from now on to work multilaterally with the UN, with Arab countries, and with Europe.
Amman, Jordan/Ramallah, Palestine - For the past three years, Jordan's capital has been experiencing a huge building boom, much of it a result of the huge influx of Iraqis and the decision of the Jordanian government to allow foreign ownership of properties. Iraqis and Palestinians are now the highest two groups buying lands, apartments and housing complexes. The result is that for price reasons people wanting to buy land are being forced to go farther and farther from the city.
Palestine/Jordan - This week I would estimate that the U.S. position improved slightly because Mr. Bush actually came down to earth and indirectly admitted that he needs help. He said he will continue to be flexible.
