Amman, Jordan - I don't accept the logic of this question. Iran's pursuit of nuclear energy is as much her right as that of any other country in the region. Only if two conditions are met would I support a boycott on Iran.
First, it must be proven that Iran is in fact pursuing nuclear energy for military purposes and not, as they profess and as no international inspectors have contradicted, for civilian purposes.
Second, the same punitive measures that will be applied to Iran will also be applied to any other regional power that possesses nuclear power.
I am well familiar with the so-called rogue state argument especially in light of the repeated, and completely unacceptable, statements by Iran's president against Israel and its existence. But so long as Iran is abiding by the Atomic Agency's guidelines to keep the nuclear activities civilian and so long as there is no effective effort to demilitarize regional powers from their military nuclear capabilities then I think it is hypocritical to make unique demands of the Islamic Republic of Iran.
