Drop "Islamo-Fascist" Rhetoric

Amman, Jordan - There is no easy solution to improving the U.S. image among Muslims and Arabs in the world. Superficial attempts don't convince people. Trust must be restored for attitudes to change. The United States needs to prove it is an honest broker in the Middle East conflict.

The Bush adminstration can't expect to be taken seriously about its interest in peace while it gridlocks the UN, supplies Israel with smart bombs and supports the ongoing, unjust economic siege on Palestinians just because they elected democratically (elections being a U.S. idea) a party that America and Israel don't like.

If the U.S. wants to be taken seriously about respecting Islam, President Bush needs to change his terminology and stop using terms like Islamo-fascism unless he is willing to use the same term to define Jewish or Christian radical groups...but this would hit too close to his support base. Oops.
