Don't Break Iraq Up, Just Get Out

Amman, Jordan - Breaking up Iraq is part of the colonial "divide and rule" strategy. But there is no alternative solution to what all Iraqis, including those who support the U.S., demand -- the departure of America and their allies.

America can still leave in an orderly and proper way, but it must be done as soon as possible. The departure will remove the final justification for the continuation of violence. This doesn't mean that the internal problems of Iraq will be resolved, but it will make a huge contribution to the removal of the so-called ideological basis for the existence of many resistance organizations. The attempt to domesticate opposition and turn groups into political parties will become easier, and their rejection of it will become a justification for disarming them.
