Mr. Kuttab is the former director of the Institute of Modern Media at Al Quds University in Ramallah, Palestine and the founder of AmmanNet, the Arab world's first internet radio station. Mexico for the Poor or the Rich

The real fight today seems between those who are rich and work for the rich with the hope that by doing that they will also benefit the poor and those who are for the poor (while they themselves might be rich). George Bush's rich republicans have set a very bad precedent for those supporting the first school of thought leaving the rest of the world with little choice but to find a liveable version of the second school of thought.

Cease Fire Agreement is Key

Amman, Jordan -- If I was a mediator, I would put all of my efforts into getting a cease fire agreement between the Palestinians and the Israelis that would take advantage of the undereported agreement between Hamas and Fatah, which includes a clear commitment not to carry out any attacks across the '67 green line.

Peacekeepers Need a Peace Plan

Amman, Jordan -- Having a larger and more powerful peace force in south Lebanon can work provided it comes after a clear understanding of some outsanding political issues. These include a swap of prisoners that will end the ordeal of Lebanese prisoners, a political mechanism that will ensure the resolution of the border dispute in South Lebanon, and a serious commitment to work on ending the 1967 occupation of Syrian and Palestinian lands.
