As well as becoming the first woman to anchor and edit the prime time news, Christine has also edited the current affairs journal L'Express, worked as the deputy director-general of France's TF1 channel and presented the country's flagship magazine and program on French and European politics, France-Europe Express. Give It to India's Insider

Paris, France - The UN is a weak and troubled organization so it's better to get an experienced insider for Secretary General than someone who'll have to waste time learning the ropes.

Therefore, the U.S. should support Shashi Tharoor's candidacy. Tharoor's designation to the post would also be a tribute to India, a new Asian giant and a massive democracy. And it would show that Washington is able to make a more imaginative choice than simply pleasing a traditional client.
