I believe that any and all fighting for democracy should be assisted in attaining such goal. Especially from the US, being that we are the leaders of the free world. I've always found Mr. Montaner's articles to be articulate, coherent and truly enlightening. I congratulate the Post for having him aboard. It's truly a very pleasurable read. R.

The people in Iran who wish change will be met with fierce violence at the hands of their oppressors; it is always so with tyrants who will use all means to retain power.

The West walks a fine line, however, in the nature of their support because those in power will twist anything said or done to suit their own needs.

We should have no illusions about Iran. Iranians do not want outsiders interferring in their nation. They are a proud people and would not want outsiders telling them what to do.

The violence and show trials have started. People have been killed and will continue to be killed.

Our hearts and prayers must be with those who risk all for freedom and democracy.
