Tommiller1,

Your right, wishful thinking is no substitute for reality.
1 You ever been hungry, and I don't mean just ready for a meal?
2 If you were used to 1 meal a day as a child, and now you get 3. Is it that hard to do what you used to do?
3 You either don't travel much or you watch to much T V.
4 Equally? who said anything about it?
5 Here, take 2cents worth for your opinion, maybe there worth a lot more in the planet you come from.

What an incredible idea that the "... poor always cope better in hard times...". The truth is more that the poor are only poorer and the rich only less rich. The divide between rich and poor only widens in such times.

Wishful thinking is no substitute for reality. In a global world everyone is hit by a downturn but equally? Not in my opinion.

Also,
5) The drug export and illegal arms will increase.
6) Trade with Russia and China will also increase
7) Maybe the US will stop referring to it as
THEIR BACK YARD.
8) No matter what happens the poor always cope better in hard times, whereas the rich will feel pain that they have never felt before, and not know what to do next.
