He is the co-author of several books on trade conflict, resolution of international trade disputes, conflicts in letters of credit, trade-related banking transactions, sovereign debt, arbitration and dispute resolutions and publications specific to the oil and gas, communication, aviation and finance sectors. Dr. Ettefagh is a member of the executive committee and the board of directors of The Development Foundation, an advisor to the United Nations High Commission for Refugees, and an advisor to a number of European companies. Five Out of Ten, Plus One Extra Credit Point, For Obama's Debut

This G-20 gathering circumvented tough issues. They did not act as the T-20 (as board of trustees for the world economy). The meeting focused on “good old ways” that got us all to this point and place in history.

How many major "ideas" have surfaced immediately from these meetings in the past? Not many that I recall.

If the stated objectives of Obama were to listen and re-arrange the stage for future discussions between allies and economic powers it seems to me that this first outing was a success.

It may be that current economic problems in the U.S. and the world will consume Obama and we (the world) will quickly fall into chaos and it may be that the goodwill displayed in London and Strasbourg will disintegrate when the rubber hits the road but this will occur in spite of and not because of Obama's first international exposure.
