He is the co-author of several books on trade conflict, resolution of international trade disputes, conflicts in letters of credit, trade-related banking transactions, sovereign debt, arbitration and dispute resolutions and publications specific to the oil and gas, communication, aviation and finance sectors. Dr. Ettefagh is a member of the executive committee and the board of directors of The Development Foundation, an advisor to the United Nations High Commission for Refugees, and an advisor to a number of European companies. Clearly and politely stated, perhaps understated. The financial problems that are staring at America are very, very large, extremely complex, and of such potential "face value" sum (if the word "value" can be applied) that is simply beyond reality.

I especially like your Weimar Republic reference and agree with you that, in order to make the debt load look smaller (but not necessarily cost less), there will be a massive devaluation of the Dollar. A milder version of it was during the Nixon years when the Gold Standard was abandoned to make the debt of USA more digestable.
