Yes, the focus must be on purchasing power and wages. Prices cannot be pushed down.
The fuel-from-food scheme is a fraud. The cycle of converting ethanol from corn is a net loser, not producer of energy. A study of the University of Nebraska (right in the middle of corn country) shows that about 129% energy is consumed to derive 100% of energy derived from, say, a gallon of gasoline.
