Aamir Ali:

As I and many other Pakistanis told you last month as well, Pakistan is here to stay.

Iran, on the other hand will continue its career as a global miscreant since 1979.

MnTunio:

everyone is pointing their fingures at pakistan as is becoming a big problem for whole world; one should think and concern who those are behind all happenings, one who are directing the orders...

YTS:

Time to go a couple of steps forward and create zones of influence like Berlin after WWII and let each territory of Pakistan be controlled by a major power. This will keep real control on each province and cut thru the sham internal structure of Pakistan where drug dealers and the miliary are enjoying the cashflow from the drug trade.

Dispassionate Analys & Rick Jones:

Freaking conspiracy idiots. Don't worry, though. The Illuminati will be coming by with your white hoods and one-way flying saucer tickets to the comet Hale-Bopp real soon. Elvis and Bigfoot are waiting for you with the Jew-killing gas. Happy hunting, you ignorant retards!

Tom Miller:

It doesn't take a genius to understand that Pakistan is and has been a problem for the world for many years but Mr. Ettefagh always returns to his agenda of carving up Pakistan while never offering any real suggestions about how and by whom this should be done. He says it's impossible to have a democratic election there but then suggests a national referendum to determine how to break up the country. Now that's a real solution. :)

Democracy takes time, of course, particularly in a country where the military and security forces make deals with power mad supporters of terrorism hiding behind religious fanaticism à la Iran, drug dealers, and Osama the physopath. Nobody has to go far to understand which group favors suicide bombings such as the one that killed Bhutto and obviously, the current government didn't care enough to give her proper protection.

There is still a chance for Pakistan I believe, however. Al-Qaeda and the other tribal leader sponsored fanatics in Pakistan may have eliminated Benazir Bhutto but the family will carry on in the tradition of all democratic struggles. It's up to the majority of the Pakistaniis (those who aren't religious fanantics and don't murder and plunder the poor) to have courage and go forward with elections regardless. It will take time but will be worth the effort.

Of course, it would be good if the international community could actually help shut down the terrorist driven areas and give peace to the populace but too many countries in the Mid-East rely on them to support their own nationalistic narrow agendas.

Anonymous:

Good writing. You are right to say that Pakistan is either stuck between totalitarian system or a democratic one, or alternatively it is a sham to trick all to have both.

America, UK, EU and about 1/3 of Pakistan placed a long bet on one single person again...this time Bhutto. It turns out that it is a bad bet, once again.

DISPASSIONATE ANALYST:

On 911 the yanks aided by mossad killed 3000 of their own people.

Zia was killed by CIA along with the American Ambassador.

Kennedy was killed by the yank elite itself.

Lincoln was similarly killed by the yanks.

The real terrorism is the european and yank terrir against their own.

The zionists conspired with hitler to kill their own jews.

DISPASSIONATE ANALYST
ON WHO KILLED BENAZIR ?

Taliban would not be motivated to kill Benazir.

Musharraf is their bigger enemy who assisted the americans against
them with tremendous logistical support.

Her brother was killed in Karachi by the MQM. They are the most
callous, irreligious, and secular hardened killers, with no compassion
just like Musharraf. For example, who killed the registrar of the
supreme court, Hamid Raza execution style ?

They are bonded to Musharraf by the Mohajir blood.

Musharraf is a stooge of America. His ONLY son in there and so are
his brothers. He trusts them. He is being tutored personally by
Negroponte. CIA provides free consulting to him and Negroponte
personally tutors him. Ponte went there to tutor Musharraf on how to
handle the JUDICIARY in a machiavellian fashion, by inflicting a
mortal disabling wound , and that is exactly what Mush did.

The zionists and hindu are quietly watching because Mush and MQM
is doing their job and you maintain pin-drop silence when your enemy
is destroying itself.

According to the brainy NEOCONS, from the Ashkenazi or KHAZAR tribe of
Central Asia, the wise and learned authors of the protocols of the
learned elders of zion, the loyal servants of the King and Banker
Rothschild, one of whom Mikhail Khodorkovsky who looted the biggest of
Russian oil and was nabbed like a rat by Honorable Vladimir Putin of
Motherland Russia and the Fatherland, and also the master conspirators
of the Russian revolution and the establishment of the state of Israel
(An Illustrious Resume of ACHIEVEMENTS):

This is the way to handle an islamic nuclear country by making it
crumble from inside by putting a militant minority of biharis (who
were the back-stabbers to their very neighbors and muslim brothers,
the bengalis in 1971 on the basis of language and ethnicity) like the
Kallu Mush, on top of the majority in the country. Being cornered,
they will heartily and mightily fight and destroy each other with
wanton and abandon.

Being cornered, they will heartily and mightily fight and destroy each
other with wanton and abandon, AND MAKE NO MISTAKE, SRI-LANKA is a
proven case of SAVAGE TAMIL HINDU TERROR trained by none other than
the Israeli Mossad and the Indian RAW. Biharis are BECOMING
temperamentally very much like that.

We must stop the transmogrification of the Biharis by reaching out to
them by love and dialogue. Only that could work.

Musharraf and MQM believes that it is their historic opportunity
to setup a Mohajir Caliphate - forever.

The goal of CIA, Mossad, RAW is to create Tamil-Sinhalese
intensity and style hatred in Pakistan, and MQM is the perfect tool.
We must guard against it and resuscitate a hero like Dr A.Q.Khan to
serve as the bridge. It will kill many birds with one stone.

It will kill many birds with one stone.

It will kill many birds with one stone.

Musharraf and MQM dream has no feasibility, but their belief in it
will indeed make the CIA/Mossad/RAW plan not only feasible but
successful.

MOA:

Here is what the world community needs to do.
1. Gain control of pakistani nuclear weapons between the west covertly, or place it under UN security council control.
2. Federalize pakistan so it maintains a semblance of being a country for the benefit of whatever is left of the pakistani pride.
3. Devolve the central authority by removing assistance to the central pakistani military. This is the only thing that has kept the country going for the last 60 years. But the fear or insecurities the west had for Russia, China and perhaps India is not longer there.
4. Instead provide direct aid to local governments--to a level where the country is effectively a group of small nations.
5. Result will be an autonomous Balochistan that can act as a buffer to contain Iran and can pay for its existence using gas revenues. Sindh/Multan can prosper economically, so can Punjab to some extent. Areas adjoining Afghanistan can be more directly controlled by the West as part of the Afghanistan control policy. Pakistan occupied kashmir can stay semi-autonomous in the 60s and 70s style without the extremist bite to cause minor irritation to India when required.

Learned View:

Thank you Dr. Ettefagh for your clear thinking, and your signaling the forthcoming attractions about 2 months ago.

This ought to keep Washington busy for a while.

G. Norias:

Pakistan Not Ready For Democracy

A question for Mr. Ettefagh.
In your view what countries in this region are ready for Democracy? When you say "Democracy" do you mean rule by and freedom for the people, or does this form of Democracy die at the wall of religious tradition as Mrs. Buhtto did?

In life Benazir was by no means perfect, by tomorrow she will be.
Jeanne d`Arc move over, Benazir's courage was just as rare.

Not so fast, Ali:

شي ول بيٹ ديم

It isn't who you think it is, America. Half of you would deny the truth in any case.

Such a terrible loss and setback for liberal Democracy everywhere.

BTW, Ali is spinning this like a Merry-Go-Round.

Rick Jones, Fredericksburg, VA:

Mr. Ettefagh says:

“Welcome to Crossed Wires Central of opaque politics, in a Non-Proliferation Treaty non-signatory member called Pakistan, where the political process is plagued by exponential variants of extremism while players might wear uniforms, civilian western-style clothes or traditional robes as they co-exist and befriend drug lords, game the intelligence apparatus, blend in as university professors, or expediently co-exist with the newly regrouped Taliban, lawyers, facilitators for al-Qaeda, or the visiting president of Afghanistan…

“As I wrote last month, Pakistan is on the cusp of becoming a much larger problem for the world…”

I agree and this is a glimpse of the world’s future if the Zionist so called “State of Israel” and its number one ally the USA don’t wise up and vacate the Middle East.

That’s right Victoria, they can’t blame this one on the general Muslim population.

http://newsweek.washingtonpost.com/postglobal/yossi_melman/2007/12/bhutto_conspiracy_theories_wil/all_comments.html

We may find out, however, that the culprit is the Islamist fundamentalists (Al Qaeda and the Taliban) who are enabled by the foolish greed of the colonial USA and Israel.

Certainly Musharraf is one of those with the most to gain. He can now postpone elections indefinitely and hold onto his power, although he may have quite a revolt on his hands if he does so.

On the other hand, Bhutto was a strong ally of the US and an outspoken opponent of the Islamic fundamentalists. That is the kiss of death in this region of the world.

http://www.nytimes.com/2007/12/28/world/asia/28pakistan.html?hp=&pagewanted=print

“In October, Ms. Bhutto survived another deadly suicide attack in the southern city of Karachi on the day she returned from years of self-imposed exile abroad to contest the parliamentary elections. Ms. Bhutto blamed extremist Islamic groups who she said wanted to take over the country for that attack, which narrowly missed her but killed 134 people. But she also complained that the government had taken insufficient steps to safeguard her parade…

She was openly critical of Mr. Musharraf’s ineffectiveness at dealing with Islamic militants and welcomed American involvement…

The assassination comes just days after Mr. Musharraf lifted a state of emergency in the country, which he had used to suspend the Constitution and arrest thousands of political opponents, and which he said he had imposed in part because of terrorist threats by extremists in Pakistan…”

So this is how my crystal ball has it. We just took another step along the path to WW III. The Islamist fundamentalists (Al Qaeda and the Taliban) hold all the cards. Musharraf may or may not be making a serious effort to rein them in. He may be playing live and let live as they build their strength in NW Pakistan and continue to weaken Afghanistan.

The Zionist invader in Palestine keeps the entire Middle East inflamed at both them and the USA for supporting them. Of course our preemptive attack on Iraq and continued occupation of Afghanistan just adds fuel to the flames.

China, India and Pakistan’s thirst for Middle East oil makes them natural allies of Iran, Iraq, Saudi Arabia and the other Arabian Gulf oil states. They will be eager to supply whatever these countries need in the way of precision guided land Attack Cruise Missiles (LACM) like the US Tomahawk. These are precision, Global Position System (GPS) satellite guided, low flying cruise missiles that hug the earth and can be programmed to attack Israel from multiple directions. Israel will never know what hit them. These will not be like the thousands of ballistic Katyusha rockets fired from Southern Lebanon, which mostly land in the olive orchards and sage brush fields. These missiles will each have a high rise building or other high value target and street number programmed in them like our Tomahawk attacks on Baghdad in 1991 and 2003.

Our thirst for oil and 10 Trillion dollar national debt, with much of it owed to China, puts us in a very weak strategic position. China could bankrupt us at will by flooding the market with our worthless paper IOUs. That’s why the US dollar has lost ~33% of its value relative to the Euro, which is on its way to becoming the world standard currency. The US dollar will soon be known as the US Peso.

Israel only produces ~1% of its required oil from its own oil wells, and must import 99%, 90% from Russia. Russia is anything but a reliable ally and is known to have used its natural gas supplied to Eastern Europe as a political tool in the past.

So standby for action the so called Zionist “State of Israel” and its number one ally the USA. We live in interesting times.
