Under God

Tweetoff: 'No God' v. 'Know God'

By David Waters

For a short time on Twitter last week (all time is short in digital world), the No. 1 trending topic was "No God." Atheist Twitterers were thrilled: "Please understand that atheists have been trying for months to get an atheist related topic to trend and this one was gifted to us," de-conversion.com noted.

The gift was from Run-D.M.C. co-founder Joseph Simmons, who tweets @RevRunWisdom. Last Tuesday at 6:47 a.m., Simmons tweeted a common Christian ministry phrase: "Know God... Know Peace. No God.. No Peace!" @RevRunWisdom has nearly 400,000 followers and many of them started re-tweeting the phrase. The deluge turned "No God" into Twitter's No. 1 hit.

That set off a tug-of-tweets between the phrases "No God" and "Know God." Perhaps that battle caused "No God" to fall from the grace of the Twitter Top 10. Or perhaps it was something more sinister. Some claim Twitter combined the two competing phrases to water-down the rankings. "Twitter a free speech eating monster & pusher of spam is here to regulate you. 140 characters of agenda," @TonyVenom tweeted.

Tweet Jesus. Is nothing sacred?

"Last Tuesday at 6:47 a.m., Simmons tweeted a common Christian ministry phrase: "Know God... Know Peace. No God.. No Peace!" " Well, let's be fair. That one *does* sound like a threat.

There's proof all over the place, if you're really looking for it, that No God had many more instances than Know God. The changing of No God to Know God was simply about Twitter cowardly giving in to the American Talibans. FreeRepublik.com

Yes, the "No god" was taken off for about 30 min (?) and then reappeared under label "Know God" (So "know god" was the label for both "Know God" and "No god" search results). See screenshot here: http://j.mp/2Jx2hC Looks like censorship to me. Besides, before disappearing "no god" was #1 trending topic, but once it was combined with "Know God" it was in #6 place. How that is possible unless it was done manually I don't know. Twitter has not commented on this subject.

tojby_2000, the proof I was referring to was not of God's existence, but of Twitter's censorship. FreeRepublik.com

Apparently, this "gibberisher" aka THE-REVELATOR as is the same person aka JJ, Blog-lady et al who simply gets another email address for registration purposes (there are ~1500 email providers on the net). You would think said person would get tired of all this subterfuge and being banned every week. What a sad, odd and strange individual!!!!! . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . .' . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . .
