I applaud the importance that Jewish people, (along with the Baptists and the Catholic and atheistic and agnostic people) contributed to that much-important, newly-conceptual creation of a secular by-the-people-for-the-people Constitution--unique at the time among all world governments--that helps assure the "flowering of ideas" and the "social permanence" that we have all been able to enjoy.

My hope is that there may be, someday in my lifetime, a period where the political and "spiritual" emphasis will be on improving the human condition, leveling the walls that separate us in economics and health, and where our cultural differences would be appreciated, shared, and enjoyed collectively instead of classified and defined within religious organizations where "clear community boundaries and practices" are maintained.
