The shaman plays the role of healer in shamanic societies; shamans gain knowledge and power by traversing the axis mundi and bringing back knowledge from the heavens. I am clear as I speed over your sermonizing that some religious input from some zealots irritates the bejesus out of me, and does add to polarization. So thank you for further clarifying for me that religion can polarize.

What is your problem? Do you have a point? Do you think the rest of us do not own Bibles? If you have something to say, say it. If you want to direct us to a reference in scripture, then direct us. Otherwise, you are merely ranting.

And BTW-Jesus was never a Christian-the term was not coined until the days of Paul.

Jesus was born, lived and died a devout Jew under Military Occupation.

Religion does not belong in a political campaign. This country doesn't have an official state religion as the English do.

Whence all this Christian blather? Shall I vote for the candidate who appears to be the least into it? Frankly, after seeing all the racist christians posting on this blog, I'm sorely tempted.

Come to think of it, that might be the way in which religion should influence a voter. Vote for the candidate whose religion isn't visible on his sleeve, or err...armband.

The difference between my lengthy answer is that it is of what is written, not with words that some think. I prove what I know. Ye realize not that wealth and riches are not gold and silver that the heathen worship, but it is the Word from Heaven. The First and Latter Rain, Words of the Spirit. Ye realize not that the LORD spoke mouth to mouth to only One. How many of the so-called Christian faith say God wants you to be rich, have wealth, get your hearts desire. What their heart desires comes from beneath. One presidential candidate says he wants to create wealth and his running mate says they want to keep their riches to themselves. The other wants to spread the wealth and his running mate wants to take the riches from others to give to the less rich. Those of the so-called Christian faith believing in tithing of ten percent, the giving gold to the church. When you appear before your God what is in your hand, is it a soul of a lost person. “THE SPIRIT OF THE BEAST THAT GOETH DOWNWARD TO THE EARTH” “Therefore shall they eat of the fruit of their own way, and be filled with their own devices.”

Those who hold this belief and spirit believe that life starts with conception. Those who have this God say Abraham is dead, that this God is God of the living, that this God was before Abraham was. What sense is there in living without having life. This is what is called eternal life, living without having life. You could say it is a living Hell. What did this God create, the face of the deep, the great whale, and the dry land. This belief is that humans are sacrificed for God’s sheep, and you are to eat the flesh and drink the blood of the son of man to have life. They believe this is for sin removal. Those who stand at the pulpit of the churches of the gentiles project themselves as pastors, teachers, preachers, ministers, and priests. They all try to imitate Moses, which they are not. They think more highly of themselves then they should, “DELIVER MY SOUL FROM THE SWORD; my darling from THE POWER OF THE DOG.” As you can see they are less than nothing. I have revealed the Word and the prophecies yet you deny the Truth. This faith is the direct opposite of that of Abraham. The so-called Christian belief is not based upon Abraham or the Hebrew faith. The blessing given those who are of Abraham is toward them, not the so-called Christians. I have clearly revealed that the sinner creature gentiles chose the King of Sodom, the lamb of god, over Abraham. The families of the earth are blessed thru Abraham’s seed not to the sinner creatures of the world. Ye are neither born again nor saved. I reveal the hosts of this heaven and earth you worship and I the only One the LORD showed it to. “And THERE APPEARED ANOTHER WONDER IN HEAVEN; and behold A GREAT RED DRAGON, having SEVEN HEADS AND TEN HORNS, and SEVEN CROWNS UPON HIS HEADS” It is a belief that is not founded upon the Word of the LORD that has the breath of life and a living soul. There are four sinner creatures, three male and one female, to whom warred against me. Ye realize not and neither know the followers and believers they have. The sanctity of one’s house, the wife, the children, family members, neighbors, and acquaintances are all targets for them. And they are unaccountable to no one and they do as they please. Their desire was for war, not peace, and they made war with One they will never defeat. I was told I had nobody and they were going to get me. I was told God was going to drop a plumb line and he knew which side they were on. I was told I had nobody, not even God on my side. I was told my prayers were sinful because I do not ask in the manner of the name of their gods, in the name of Jesus. What their followers and believers fail to realize the true end judgment in store for them, what they call their rapture. They understand not that their gods only purpose is to destroy and the evil they brought to Me is returned back to them. They understand not the way of the LORD and how I and those who are with me will always be protected. I judged by no one, but it is I who judge all. They know not the servants of the servant of the LORD. They think if I killed that is my end, not so. One of the most important aspects of faith is proving it. I bided my time till signs were fulfilled. If you saw the signs then maybe you have a chance to believe. I have completely destroyed your gods, your houses of worship, those who stand behind the pulpit, and the members of their ministries. How you may ask, with the evil you believe in. I warned all to leave the ministries of the so-called Christian faith, forsake their evil servants who are at their altars, and forsake the sinner creatures of god in the congregation. There is no greater evil to the children of Abraham than that of the sinner creature gentiles. They seek to destroy the children of the LORD. It has been said that American evangelicals constitute Israel's most ardent supporters. What is in there heart, do not they seek flesh and blood. Do not they preach Jews need to be “perfected” by accepting Jesus as their god. Do not theyjudge Jews in saying they are going to hell for rejecting Jesus and the so-called Christians go to heaven because they are the only true believers. Look , “THE LORD HATH SPOKEN UNTO THEM BY THE HAND OF MOSES” “THE KING'S HEART IS IN THE HAND OF THE LORD” “I WILL TEACH YOU BY THE HAND OF GOD: THAT WHICH IS WITH THE ALMIGHTY WILL I NOT CONCEAL. BEHOLD, ALL YE YOURSELVES HAVE SEEN IT; WHY THEN ARE YE THUS ALTOGETHER VAIN” I have shown you what was, what is, what could be, what will be. I have shown you Peace, but ye reject it. Instead of coming to me, ye choose to remain with the devil (flesh and blood), your heart is possessed by Satan, your soul is possessed by the serpent. Ye have a fleshy heart and a bloody soul. But the natural man receiveth not the things of the Spirit of God: for they are foolishness unto him: neither can he know them, because they are spiritually discerned.
But HE THAT IS SPIRITUAL JUDGETH ALL THINGS, YET HE HIMSELF IS JUDGED OF NO MAN.
For who hath known the mind of the Lord, that he may instruct him? But we have THE MIND OF CHRIST.

Verily I say unto you, It shall be more tolerable for the land of Sodom and Gomorrha in the day of judgment, than for that city.
Behold, I SEND YOU FORTH AS SHEEP in the midst of wolves: be YE THEREFORE WISE AS SERPENTS, and HARMLESS AS DOVES.
But beware of men: for they will deliver you up to the councils, and they will scourge you in their synagogues;
And ye shall be brought before governors and kings for my sake, for a testimony against them and the Gentiles.
But when they deliver you up, take no thought how or what ye shall speak: for it shall be given you in that same hour what ye shall speak.
FOR IT IS NOT YE THAT SPEAK, BUT THE SPIRIT OF YOUR FATHER WHICH SPEAKETH IN YOU.

Who knoweth the spirit of man that goeth upward, and THE SPIRIT OF THE BEAST THAT GOETH DOWNWARD TO THE EARTH?
Wherefore I perceive that there is nothing better, than that a man should rejoice in his own works; for that is his portion: FOR WHO SHALL BRING HIM TO SEE WHAT SHALL BE AFTER HIM?

Jesus answered and said unto her, IF THOU KNEWEST THE GIFT OF GOD, and who it is that saith to thee, Give me to drink; thou wouldest have asked of him, and he would have given thee living water.

Then Peter said unto them, Repent, and be baptized every one of you IN THE NAME OF JESUS CHRIST for the remission of sins, and YE SHALL RECEIVE THE GIFT OF THE HOLY GHOST.

And they of the circumcision which believed were astonished, as many as came with Peter, because that ON THE GENTILES ALSO WAS POURED OUT THE GIFT OF THE HOLY GHOST.

Forasmuch then as GOD GAVE THEM THE LIKE GIFT as he did unto us, who believed on the Lord Jesus Christ; what was I, that I could withstand God?
For I long to see you, that I may IMPART UNTO YOU SOME SPIRITUAL GIFT, TO THE END YE MAY BE ESTABLISHED;

For the wages of sin is death; but THE GIFT OF GOD IS ETERNAL LIFE through Jesus Christ our Lord.

Also when they shall be afraid of that which is high, and fears shall be in the way, and the almond tree shall flourish, and the grasshopper shall be a burden, and desire shall fail: because man goeth to his long home, and the mourners go about the streets:
Or ever the silver cord be loosed, or the golden bowl be broken, or the pitcher be broken at the fountain, or the wheel broken at the cistern.
Then shall the dust return to the earth as it was: and THE SPIRIT SHALL RETURN UNTO GOD WHO GAVE IT.

THE LEPROSY THEREFORE OF NAAMAN SHALL CLEAVE UNTO THEE, AND UNTO THY SEED FOR EVER. And he went out from HIS PRESENCE A LEPER AS WHITE AS SNOW.

Now when JESUS WAS IN BETHANY, IN THE HOUSE OF SIMON THE LEPER,

And HIS RAIMENT BECAME SHINING, EXCEEDING WHITE AS SNOW; so as no fuller on earth can white them.

And Simon and they that were with him followed after him.
And when they had found him, they said unto him, ALL MEN SEEK FOR THEE.
And he said unto them, Let us go into the next towns, that I may preach there also: for therefore came I forth.
And he preached in their synagogues throughout all Galilee, and CAST OUT DEVILS.
And there came A LEPER TO HIM, beseeching him, and KNEELING DOWN TO HIM, and saying unto him, IF THOU WILT, THOU CANST MAKE ME clean.

And ye shall be holy men unto Me: NEITHER SHALL YE EAT ANY FLESH THAT IS TORN OF BEASTS in the field; YE SHALL CAST IT TO THE DOGS.

That thy foot may be dipped in THE BLOOD OF THINE ENEMIES, AND THE TONGUE OF THY DOGS IN THE SAME.

DELIVER MY SOUL FROM THE SWORD; my darling from THE POWER OF THE DOG.

Then shalt thou say in thine heart, WHO HATH BEGOTTEN ME THESE, seeing I have lost my children, and am desolate, a captive, and removing to and fro? and who hath brought up these? behold, I was left alone; these, where had they been?
THUS SAITH THE LORD GOD, BEHOLD, I WILL LIFT UP MINE HAND TO THE GENTILES, AND SET UP MY STANDARD TO THE PEOPLE: and they shall bring thy sons in their arms, and thy daughters shall be carried upon their shoulders.
And kings shall be thy nursing fathers, and their queens thy nursing mothers: THEY SHALL BOW DOWN TO THEE WITH THEIR FACE TOWARD THE EARTH, and lick up the dust of thy feet; and thou shalt know that I the Lord: for they shall not be ashamed that wait for me.
Shall the prey be taken from the mighty, or the lawful captive delivered?
But thus saith the Lord, Even the captives of the mighty shall be taken away, and THE PREY OF THE TERRIBLE SHALL BE DELIVERED: for I WILL CONTEND WITH HIM THAT CONTENDETH WITH THEE, and I will save thy children.
And I WILL FEED THEM THAT OPPRESS THEE WITH THEIR OWN FLESH; AND THEY SHALL BE DRUNKEN WITH THEIR OWN BLOOD, AS WITH SWEET WINE: AND ALL FLESH SHALL KNOW THAT I THE LORD AM THY SAVIOUR AND THY REDEEMER, THE MIGHTY ONE OF JACOB.

Comfort ye, comfort ye my people, saith your God.
Speak ye comfortably to Jerusalem, and cry unto her, that her warfare is accomplished, that her iniquity is pardoned: for she hath received of the Lord's hand double for all her sins.
The voice of him that crieth in the wilderness, Prepare ye the way of the Lord, make straight in the desert a highway for our God.
Every valley shall be exalted, and every mountain and hill shall be made low: and THE CROOKED SHALL BE MADE STRAIGHT, and the rough places plain:
And THE GLORY OF THE LORD SHALL BE REVEALED, AND ALL FLESH SHALL SEE IT TOGETHER: FOR THE MOUTH OF THE LORD HATH SPOKEN IT.

Who hath measured the waters in the hollow of his hand, and meted out heaven with the span, and comprehended the dust of the earth in a measure, and weighed the mountains in scales, and the hills in a balance?
WHO HATH DIRECTED THE SPIRIT OF THE LORD, or being HIS COUNSELLER HATH TAUGHT HIM?
With whom took HE COUNSEL, AND WHO INSTRUCTED HIM, AND TAUGHT HIM IN THE PATH OF JUDGMENT, AND TAUGHT HIM KNOWLEDGE, AND SHEWED TO HIM THE WAY OF UNDERSTANDING?

Quoting “Rather than making God responsible for evils in the world, Maimonides defined three causes of what human beings consider evil.”

When Sanballat the Horonite, and Tobiah the servant, the Ammonite, heard of it, it grieved them exceedingly that there was come a man to seek the welfare of the children of Israel.

And the devil, taking him up into an high mountain, shewed unto him all the kingdoms of the world in a moment of time.
AND THE DEVIL SAID UNTO HIM, ALL THIS POWER WILL I GIVE THEE, AND THE GLORY OF THEM: FOR THAT IS DELIVERED UNTO ME; AND TO WHOMSOEVER I WILL I GIVE IT.
IF THOU THEREFORE WILT WORSHIP ME, ALL SHALL BE THINE.

Go ye therefore, and teach all nations, baptizing them in the name of the Father, and of the Son, and of the Holy Ghost:

There are four evils.

O COME, LET US WORSHIP AND BOW DOWN: LET US KNEEL BEFORE THE LORD OUR MAKER.

AND HIS HANDS FORMED THE DRY LAND.

One Evil
And the earth was without form, and void; and DARKNESS WAS UPON THE FACE OF THE DEEP. And THE SPIRIT OF GOD moved upon the face of the waters.

THE WHOLE ARMOUR OF GOD
THEN SAID JOAB
AND TEN YOUNG MEN THAT BARE JOAB'S ARMOUR COMPASSED ABOUT
AND OF HIM AND OF ALL THE MEN THAT ARE WITH HIM, JOAB, THERE SHALL NOT BE LEFT SO MUCH AS ONE.

Second Evil
And the earth was without form, and void; and darkness was upon the face of the deep. And THE SPIRIT OF GOD moved upon THE FACE OF THE WATERS.

THE SEA IS HIS, AND HE MADE IT
AND BOW DOWN
ALL THE KING'S SERVANTS, THAT WERE IN THE KING'S GATE, BOWED, AND REVERENCED HAMAN
THE TEN SONS OF HAMAN THE SON OF HAMMEDATHA, THE ENEMY OF THE JEWS
THE KING COMMANDED IT SO TO BE DONE: AND THE DECREE WAS GIVEN AT SHUSHAN; AND THEY HANGED HAMAN'S TEN SONS.

And I stood upon the sand of the sea, and saw A BEAST RISE UP OUT OF THE SEA, having seven heads and TEN HORNS, and upon his horns ten crowns, and upon his heads the name of blasphemy.
And the beast which I saw was LIKE UNTO A LEOPARD, and his FEET WERE AS THE FEET OF A BEAR, and his MOUTH AS THE MOUTH OF A LION: and the DRAGON GAVE HIM HIS POWER, and his seat, and great authority.
And I saw one of his heads as it were wounded to death; and his deadly wound was healed: and all the world wondered after the beast.
And they worshipped the dragon which gave power unto the beast: and they worshipped the beast, saying, Who is like unto the beast? who is able to make war with him?

Third Evil
And the earth was without form, and void; and darkness was upon the face of the deep. And THE SPIRIT OF GOD moved upon the face of the waters.

And GOD CALLED THE DRY LAND EARTH; and the gathering together of the waters called he Seas: and GOD SAW THAT IT WAS GOOD.

AND HIS HANDS FORMED THE DRY LAND.
LET US KNEEL BEFORE THE LORD OUR MAKER.

IN THEIR HEAT I WILL MAKE THEIR FEASTS, AND I WILL MAKE THEM DRUNKEN, THAT THEY MAY REJOICE, AND SLEEP A PERPETUAL SLEEP, AND NOT WAKE, SAITH THE LORD.
I WILL BRING THEM DOWN LIKE LAMBS TO THE SLAUGHTER, LIKE RAMS WITH HE GOATS.

And they sung a new song, saying, Thou art worthy to take the book, and to open the seals thereof: for thou wast slain, and hast redeemed us to God by thy blood out of every kindred, and tongue, and people, and nation;
And hast made us unto OUR GOD KINGS AND PRIESTS: AND WE SHALL REIGN ON THE EARTH.
And I beheld, and I heard the voice of many angels round about the throne and the beasts and the elders: and the number of them was ten thousand times ten thousand, and thousands of thousands;
Saying with a loud voice, WORTHY IS THE LAMB THAT WAS SLAIN TO RECEIVE POWER, AND RICHES, AND WISDOM, AND STRENGTH, HONOUR, AND GLORY, AND BLESSING.
And EVERY CREATURE WHICH IS IN HEAVEN, AND ON THE EARTH, AND UNDER THE EARTH, AND SUCH AS ARE IN THE SEA, AND ALL THAT ARE IN THEM, HEARD I SAYING, BLESSING, AND HONOUR, AND GLORY, AND POWER, BE UNTO HIM THAT SITTETH UPON THE THRONE, and unto the Lamb for ever and ever.

Fourth Evil
UNTIL THE GOING DOWN OF THE SUN.
And the earth was without form, and void; and darkness was upon the face of the deep. And THE SPIRIT OF GOD moved upon the face of the waters.

These words spake Jesus, and lifted up his eyes to heaven, and said, FATHER, THE HOUR IS COME; GLORIFY THY SON, THAT THY SON ALSO MAY GLORIFY THEE:
AS THOU HAST GIVEN HIM POWER OVER ALL FLESH, THAT HE SHOULD GIVE ETERNAL LIFE TO AS MANY AS THOU HAST GIVEN HIM.

Forasmuch as ye are manifestly declared to be the epistle of Christ ministered by us, written not with ink, but with THE SPIRIT OF THE LIVING GOD; not in tables of stone, but in FLESHY TABLES OF THE HEART.

AND THE SHEEP OF HIS HAND
FOR THY SAKE WE ARE KILLED ALL THE DAY LONG; WE ARE ACCOUNTED AS SHEEP FOR THE SLAUGHTER.

And GOD SAID, LET THERE BE LIGHT: AND THERE WAS LIGHT.
And God saw the light, that it was good: and GOD DIVIDED THE LIGHT FROM THE DARKNESS.
And GOD CALLED THE LIGHT DAY, and the DARKNESS HE CALLED NIGHT. And the evening and the morning were the first day.

And God set them in the firmament of the heaven to give light upon the earth,
And to rule over the day and over the night, and to divide the light from the darkness: and God saw that it was good.

Then came Amalek, and fought with Israel in Rephidim.
And Moses said unto Joshua, Choose us out men, and go out, fight with Amalek: to morrow I will stand on the top of the hill with the rod of God in mine hand.
So Joshua did as Moses had said to him, and fought with Amalek: and Moses, Aaron, and Hur went up to the top of the hill.
And it came to pass, when Moses held up his hand, that Israel prevailed: and when he let down his hand, Amalek prevailed.
But Moses' hands were heavy; and they took a stone, and put it under him, and he sat thereon; and AARON AND HUR STAYED UP HIS HANDS, THE ONE ON THE ONE SIDE, AND THE OTHER ON THE OTHER SIDE; and his hands were steady UNTIL THE GOING DOWN OF THE SUN.
And Joshua discomfited Amalek and his people with the edge of the sword.
And THE LORD SAID UNTO MOSES, WRITE THIS FOR A MEMORIAL IN A BOOK, AND REHEARSE IT IN THE EARS OF JOSHUA: FOR I WILL UTTERLY PUT OUT THE REMEMBRANCE OF AMALEK FROM UNDER HEAVEN.

WASHINGTON (Reuters) - NASA extended the mission of the busy Phoenix lander on Monday, saying it will operate until it dies in the cold, dark Martian winter.
The lander found evidence that the chemical makeup of the dust on the surface of Mars resembles that of sea water, adding to evidence that liquid water that once may have supported life flowed on the planet's surface.
And, said JPL's Michael Hecht, further analysis shows the Martian dust is about as alkaline as seawater, with a pH of 8.3, more evidence that life could have existed on Mars.

And every plant of the field before it was in the earth, and every herb of the field before it grew: for the Lord God had not caused it to rain upon the earth, and there was not a man to till the ground.

Hath the rain a father? or who hath begotten the drops of dew?
Out of whose womb came the ice? and the hoary frost of heaven, who hath gendered it?
The waters are hid as with a stone, and the face of the deep is frozen.
Canst thou bind the sweet influences of Pleiades, or loose the bands of Orion?
Canst thou bring forth Mazzaroth in his season? or canst thou guide Arcturus with his sons?
Knowest thou the ordinances of heaven? canst thou set the dominion thereof in the earth?
Canst thou lift up thy voice to the clouds, that abundance of waters may cover thee?
Canst thou send lightnings, that they may go and say unto thee, Here we are?
Who hath put wisdom in the inward parts? or who hath given understanding to the heart?
Who can number the clouds in wisdom? or who can stay the bottles of heaven,
When the dust groweth into hardness, and the clods cleave fast together?
Wilt thou hunt the prey for the lion? or fill the appetite of the young lions,
When they couch in their dens, and abide in the covert to lie in wait?
Who provideth for the raven his food? when his young ones cry unto God, they wander for lack of meat.

And the lords of the Philistines came up unto her, and said unto her, ENTICE HIM, AND SEE WHEREIN HIS GREAT STRENGTH LIETH, and by what means we may prevail against him, that we may bind him to afflict him; and we will give thee every one of us eleven hundred pieces of silver.
And Delilah said to Samson, TELL ME, I PRAY THEE, WHEREIN THY GREAT STRENGTH LIETH, and wherewith thou mightest be bound to afflict thee.

And Samuel said unto him, The Lord hath rent the kingdom of Israel from thee this day, and hath given it to a neighbour of thine, that is better than thou.

WHAT IS MY STRENGTH, that I should hope? and what is mine end, that I should prolong my life?

I know it is so of a truth: but how should man be just with God?
IF HE WILL CONTEND WITH HIM, HE CANNOT ANSWER HIM ONE OF A THOUSAND.

Then Saul drew near to Samuel in the gate, and said, Tell me, I pray thee, where the seer's house is.

To morrow about this time I will send thee a man out of the land of Benjamin, and thou shalt anoint him to be captain over my people Israel, that he may save my people out of the hand of the Philistines: for I have looked upon my people, because their cry is come unto me.
And when Samuel saw Saul, the Lord said unto him, BEHOLD THE MAN WHOM I SPAKE TO THEE OF! THIS SAME SHALL REIGN OVER MY PEOPLE.
Then Saul drew near to Samuel in the gate, and said, Tell me, I pray thee, where the seer's house is.
And Samuel answered Saul, and said, I am the seer: go up before me unto the high place; for ye shall eat with me to day, and TO MORROW I WILL LET THEE GO, AND WILL TELL THEE ALL THAT IS IN THINE HEART.

And I WILL RAISE ME UP A FAITHFUL PRIEST, THAT SHALL DO ACCORDING TO THAT WHICH IS IN MINE HEART AND IN MY MIND: AND I WILL BUILD HIM A SURE HOUSE; AND HE SHALL WALK BEFORE MINE ANOINTED FOR EVER.
And it shall come to pass, that every one that is left in thine house shall come and crouch to him for a piece of silver and a morsel of bread, and shall say, Put me, I pray thee, into one of the priests' offices, that I may eat a piece of bread.

And it came to pass, when Joshua was by Jericho, that he lifted up his eyes and looked, and, behold, THERE STOOD A MAN OVER AGAINST HIM WITH HIS SWORD DRAWN IN HIS HAND: and Joshua went unto him, and said unto him, Art thou for us, or for our adversaries?
And he said, Nay; but AS CAPTAIN OF THE HOST OF THE LORD AM I NOW COME. And JOSHUA FELL ON HIS FACE TO THE EARTH, and did worship, and said unto him, WHAT SAITH MY LORD UNTO HIS SERVANT?
And the captain of the Lord's host said unto Joshua, Loose thy shoe from off thy foot; for the place whereon thou standest is holy. And Joshua did so.

And Samuel told all the words of the Lord unto the people that asked of him a king.
And he said, This will be the manner of the king that shall reign over you: He will take your sons, and appoint them for himself, for his chariots, and to be his horsemen; and some shall run before his chariots.
And HE WILL APPOINT HIM CAPTAINS OVER THOUSANDS, and captains over fifties; and WILL SET THEM TO EAR HIS GROUND, AND TO REAP HIS HARVEST, and to make his instruments of war, and instruments of his chariots.

And OF BENJAMIN HE SAID, THE BELOVED OF THE LORD SHALL DWELL IN SAFETY BY HIM; and THE LORD SHALL COVER HIM ALL THE DAY LONG, AND HE SHALL DWELL BETWEEN HIS SHOULDERS.

And ye have this day rejected your God, who himself saved you out of all your adversities and your tribulations; and ye have said unto him, Nay, but set a king over us. Now therefore present yourselves before the Lord by your tribes, and by your thousands.
And when Samuel had caused all the tribes of Israel to come near, the tribe of Benjamin was taken.
When he had caused the tribe of Benjamin to come near by their families, the family of Matri was taken, and Saul the son of Kish was taken: and when they sought him, he could not be found.
Therefore they inquired of the Lord further, if the man should yet come thither. And the Lord answered, Behold he hath hid himself among the stuff.
And they ran and fetched him thence: and WHEN HE STOOD AMONG THE PEOPLE, HE WAS HIGHER THAN ANY OF THE PEOPLE FROM HIS SHOULDERS AND UPWARD.
And Samuel said to all the people, SEE YE HIM WHOM THE LORD HATH CHOSEN, THAT THERE IS NONE LIKE HIM AMONG ALL THE PEOPLE? And all the people shouted, and said, God save the king.
Then SAMUEL TOLD THE PEOPLE THE MANNER OF THE KINGDOM, AND WROTE IT IN A BOOK, and laid it up before the Lord. And Samuel sent all the people away, every man to his house.
And Saul also went home to Gibeah; and there went with him a band of men, whose hearts God had touched.
But the children of Belial said, How shall this man save us? And they despised him, and brought him no presents. BUT HE HELD HIS PEACE.

Saul reigned one year; and when he had reigned two years over Israel,
Saul chose him three thousand men of Israel; whereof two thousand were with Saul in Michmash and in mount Bethel, and A THOUSAND WERE WITH JONATHAN IN GIBEAH OF BENJAMIN: and the rest of the people he sent every man to his tent.

And the women answered one another as they played, and said, SAUL HATH SLAIN HIS THOUSANDS, and David his ten thousands.

And Job answered and said,
No doubt but ye are the people, and wisdom shall die with you.
But I have understanding as well as you; I am not inferior to you: yea, who knoweth not such things as these?
I am as one mocked of his neighbour, who calleth upon God, and he answereth him: the just upright man is laughed to scorn.
He that is ready to slip with his feet is as a lamp despised in the thought of him that is at ease.
The tabernacles of robbers prosper, and they that provoke God are secure; into whose hand God bringeth abundantly.
But ask now the beasts, and they shall teach thee; and the fowls of the air, and they shall tell thee:
OR SPEAK TO THE EARTH, AND IT SHALL TEACH THEE: and the fishes of the sea shall declare unto thee.
WHO KNOWETH NOT IN ALL THESE THAT THE HAND OF THE LORD HATH WROUGHT THIS?
IN WHOSE HAND IS THE SOUL OF EVERY LIVING THING, AND THE BREATH OF ALL MANKIND.
Doth not the ear try words? and the mouth taste his meat?
With the ancient is wisdom; and in length of days understanding.
WITH HIM IS WISDOM AND STRENGTH, HE HATH COUNSEL AND UNDERSTANDING.

Quoting “Job's friends thought that they had all the answers, but the finale is the God speech that says, Where were you when I laid the earth's foundations? (38:4).”

Where wast thou when I laid the foundations of the earth? declare, if thou hast understanding.

THE PROVERBS OF SOLOMON the son of David, king of Israel;
To know wisdom and instruction; to perceive the words of understanding;
To receive the instruction of wisdom, justice, and judgment, and equity;
To give subtilty to the simple, to the young man knowledge and discretion.
A wise man will hear, and will increase learning; and a man of understanding shall attain unto wise counsels:

REJOICING IN THE HABITABLE PART OF HIS EARTH; and my delights were with the sons of men.
Now therefore hearken unto me, O YE CHILDREN: FOR BLESSED ARE THEY THAT KEEP MY WAYS.
Hear instruction, and be wise, and refuse it not.
BLESSED IS THE MAN THAT HEARETH ME, watching daily at my gates, waiting at the posts of my doors.
FOR WHOSO FINDETH ME FINDETH LIFE, and shall obtain favour of the Lord.
But he that sinneth against me wrongeth his own soul: all they that hate me love death.

THEN SHALT THOU UNDERSTAND THE FEAR OF THE LORD, AND FIND THE KNOWLEDGE OF GOD.
For the Lord giveth wisdom: OUT OF HIS MOUTH COMETH KNOWLEDGE AND UNDERSTANDING.

HAPPY IS THE MAN THAT FINDETH WISDOM, and THE MAN THAT GETTETH UNDERSTANDING.

My son, attend unto my wisdom, and BOW THINE EAR TO MY UNDERSTANDING:

THE FEAR OF THE LORD IS THE BEGINNING OF WISDOM: and THE KNOWLEDGE OF THE HOLY IS UNDERSTANDING.

He that is void of wisdom despiseth his neighbour: but A MAN OF UNDERSTANDING HOLDETH HIS PEACE.

Length of days is in her right hand; and in her left hand riches and honour.
Her ways are ways of pleasantness, and ALL HER PATHS ARE PEACE.
SHE IS A TREE OF LIFE TO THEM THAT LAY HOLD UPON HER: and happy is every one that retaineth her.
THE LORD BY WISDOM HATH FOUNDED THE EARTH; by UNDERSTANDING HATH HE ESTABLISHED THE HEAVENS.

THE FEAR OF THE LORD IS TO HATE EVIL: pride, and arrogancy, and the evil way, and the froward mouth, do I hate.
COUNSEL IS MINE, AND SOUND WISDOM: I AM UNDERSTANDING; I HAVE STRENGTH.

Quoting, “And further on, Who is wise enough to give an account of the heavens? (38:37).”

In THE BEGINNING GOD CREATED THE HEAVEN AND THE EARTH.
Thus the heavens and the earth were finished, and ALL THE HOST OF THEM.
And on the seventh day God ended his work which he had made; and he rested on the seventh day from all his work which he had made.

And Jacob went out from Beersheba, and went toward Haran.
And he lighted upon a certain place, and tarried there all night, because the sun was set; and he took of the stones of that place, and put them for his pillows, and lay down in that place to sleep.
And HE DREAMED, AND BEHOLD A LADDER SET UP ON THE EARTH, AND THE TOP OF IT REACHED TO HEAVEN: and BEHOLD THE ANGELS OF GOD ASCENDING AND DESCENDING ON IT.

And Isaac answered and said unto Esau, Behold, I have made him thy lord, and all his brethren have I given to him for servants; and with corn and wine have I sustained him: and what shall I do now unto thee, my son?
And Esau said unto his father, Hast thou but one blessing, my father? bless me, even me also, O my father. And Esau lifted up his voice, and wept.
And Isaac his father answered and said unto him, BEHOLD, THY DWELLING SHALL BE THE FATNESS OF THE EARTH, AND OF THE DEW OF HEAVEN FROM ABOVE;
AND BY THY SWORD SHALT THOU LIVE, AND SHALT SERVE THY BROTHER; AND IT SHALL COME TO PASS WHEN THOU SHALT HAVE THE DOMINION, THAT THOU SHALT BREAK HIS YOKE FROM OFF THY NECK.
And Esau hated Jacob because of the blessing wherewith his father blessed him: AND ESAU SAID IN HIS HEART, THE DAYS OF MOURNING FOR MY FATHER ARE AT HAND; THEN WILL I SLAY MY BROTHER JACOB.
And THESE WORDS OF ESAU HER ELDER SON WERE TOLD TO REBEKAH: and she sent and called Jacob her younger son, and said unto him, BEHOLD, THY BROTHER ESAU, AS TOUCHING THEE, DOTH COMFORT HIMSELF, PURPOSING TO KILL THEE.

THE DAYS OF MOURNING FOR MY FATHER ARE AT HAND; THEN WILL I SLAY MY BROTHER JACOB
DAVID SAID UNTO HIS SERVANTS, Is the child dead? And they said, HE, DAVID, IS DEAD.

And JACOB VOWED A VOW, SAYING, IF GOD WILL BE WITH ME, AND WILL KEEP ME IN THIS WAY THAT I GO, and will give me bread to eat, and raiment to put on,
SO THAT I COME AGAIN TO MY FATHER'S HOUSE IN PEACE; then shall the Lord be my God:
And this stone, which I have set for a pillar, shall be God's house: and OF ALL THAT THOU SHALT GIVE ME I WILL SURELY GIVE THE TENTH UNTO THEE.

And the messengers returned to Jacob, saying, WE CAME TO THY BROTHER ESAU, AND ALSO HE COMETH TO MEET THEE, AND FOUR HUNDRED MEN WITH HIM.
THEN JACOB WAS GREATLY AFRAID AND DISTRESSED: and he divided the people that was with him, and the flocks, and herds, and the camels, into two bands;
And said, If Esau come to the one company, and smite it, then the other company which is left shall escape.
And Jacob said, O God of my father Abraham, and God of my father Isaac, the Lord which saidst unto me, Return unto thy country, and to thy kindred, and I will deal well with thee:
I am not worthy of the least of all the mercies, and of all the truth, which thou hast shewed unto thy servant; for with my staff I passed over this Jordan; and now I am become two bands.
DELIVER ME, I PRAY THEE, FROM THE HAND OF MY BROTHER, FROM THE HAND OF ESAU: FOR I FEAR HIM, LEST HE WILL COME AND SMITE ME, AND THE MOTHER WITH THE CHILDREN.
And thou saidst, I will surely do thee good, and make thy seed as the sand of the sea, which cannot be numbered for multitude.

David therefore besought God for the child; and David fasted, and went in, and lay all night upon the earth.
And the elders of his house arose, and went to him, to raise him up from the earth: but he would not, neither did he eat bread with them.
And it came to pass on the seventh day, that the child died. And the servants of David feared to tell him that the child was dead: for they said, BEHOLD, WHILE THE CHILD WAS YET ALIVE, WE SPAKE UNTO HIM, AND HE WOULD NOT HEARKEN UNTO OUR VOICE: HOW WILL HE THEN VEX HIMSELF, IF WE TELL HIM THAT THE CHILD IS DEAD?
But when David saw that his servants whispered, DAVID PERCEIVED THAT THE CHILD WAS DEAD: THEREFORE DAVID SAID UNTO HIS SERVANTS, IS THE CHILD DEAD? AND THEY SAID, HE IS DEAD.
Then David arose from the earth, and washed, and anointed himself, and changed his apparel, and came into the house of the Lord, and worshipped: then he came to his own house; and when he required, they set bread before him, and he did eat.
Then said his servants unto him, What thing is this that thou hast done? thou didst fast and weep for the child, while it was alive; but when the child was dead, thou didst rise and eat bread.
And he said, While the child was yet alive, I fasted and wept: for I said, Who can tell whether God will be gracious to me, that the child may live?
BUT NOW HE IS DEAD, WHEREFORE SHOULD I FAST? CAN I BRING HIM BACK AGAIN? I SHALL GO TO HIM, BUT HE SHALL NOT RETURN TO ME.

There shall not any man be able to stand before thee all the days of thy life: AS I WAS WITH MOSES, SO I WILL BE WITH THEE: I WILL NOT FAIL THEE, NOR FORSAKE THEE.

For, said Hushai, thou knowest thy father and his men, that they be mighty men, and they be chafed in their minds, as a bear robbed of her whelps in the field: and thy father is a man of war, and will not lodge with the people.
Behold, he is hid now in some pit, or in some other place: and it will come to pass, when some of them be overthrown at the first, that whosoever heareth it will say, THERE IS A SLAUGHTER AMONG THE PEOPLE THAT FOLLOW ABSALOM.
And he also that is valiant, whose heart is as the heart of a lion, shall utterly melt: for all Israel knoweth that thy father is a mighty man, and they which be with him are valiant men.
THEREFORE I COUNSEL THAT ALL ISRAEL BE GENERALLY GATHERED UNTO THEE, FROM DAN EVEN TO BEERSHEBA, AS THE SAND THAT IS BY THE SEA FOR MULTITUDE; and that thou go to battle in thine own person.
So shall we come upon him in some place where he shall be found, and we will light upon him as the dew falleth on the ground: AND OF HIM AND OF ALL THE MEN THAT ARE WITH HIM THERE SHALL NOT BE LEFT SO MUCH AS ONE.

Where the people of Israel were slain before the servants of David, and there was there a great slaughter that day of twenty thousand men.
FOR THE BATTLE WAS THERE SCATTERED OVER THE FACE OF ALL THE COUNTRY: AND THE WOOD DEVOURED MORE PEOPLE THAT DAY THAN THE SWORD DEVOURED.
And Absalom met the servants of David. And Absalom rode upon a mule, and the mule went under the THICK BOUGHS OF A GREAT OAK, AND HIS HEAD CAUGHT HOLD OF THE OAK, AND HE WAS TAKEN UP BETWEEN THE HEAVEN AND THE EARTH; and the mule that was under him went away.
And a certain man saw it, and told Joab, and said, BEHOLD, I SAW ABSALOM HANGED IN AN OAK.
THEN SAID JOAB, I may not tarry thus with thee. AND HE TOOK THREE DARTS IN HIS HAND, AND THRUST THEM THROUGH THE HEART OF ABSALOM, while he was yet alive in the midst of the oak.
AND TEN YOUNG MEN THAT BARE JOAB'S ARMOUR COMPASSED ABOUT AND SMOTE ABSALOM, AND SLEW HIM.
And Joab blew the trumpet, and the people returned from pursuing after Israel: for Joab held back the people.
AND THEY TOOK ABSALOM, AND CAST HIM INTO A GREAT PIT IN THE WOOD, AND LAID A VERY GREAT HEAP OF STONES UPON HIM: and all Israel fled every one to his tent.
Now Absalom in his lifetime had taken and reared up for himself a pillar, which is in the king's dale: for he said, I have no son to keep my name in remembrance: and he called the pillar after his own name: and it is called unto this day, Absalom's place.

THEN SAID JOAB
AND TEN YOUNG MEN THAT BARE JOAB'S ARMOUR COMPASSED ABOUT AND SMOTE ABSALOM, AND SLEW HIM.
AND OF HIM AND OF ALL THE MEN THAT ARE WITH HIM, JOAB, THERE SHALL NOT BE LEFT SO MUCH AS ONE.

For now I WILL STRETCH OUT MY HAND, that I may smite thee and thy people with pestilence; and thou shalt be cut off from the earth.
AND IN VERY DEED FOR THIS CAUSE HAVE I RAISED THEE UP, for to shew in thee my power; and THAT MY NAME MAY BE DECLARED THROUGHOUT ALL THE EARTH.

SEE now that I, even, I,
ISRAEL IS MY SON, even, MY FIRSTBORN:
AND IN VERY DEED FOR THIS CAUSE HAVE I RAISED THEE UP, for to shew in thee my power; and THAT MY NAME MAY BE DECLARED THROUGHOUT ALL THE EARTH.

Will God hear his cry when trouble cometh upon him?
Will he delight himself in the Almighty? will he always call upon God?
I WILL TEACH YOU BY THE HAND OF GOD: THAT WHICH IS WITH THE ALMIGHTY WILL I NOT CONCEAL.
BEHOLD, ALL YE YOURSELVES HAVE SEEN IT; WHY THEN ARE YE THUS ALTOGETHER VAIN?

How long, ye simple ones, will ye love simplicity? and the scorners delight in their scorning, and fools hate knowledge?
TURN YOU AT MY REPROOF: BEHOLD, I WILL POUR OUT MY SPIRIT UNTO YOU, I WILL MAKE KNOWN MY WORDS UNTO YOU.
BECAUSE I HAVE CALLED, AND YE REFUSED; I HAVE STRETCHED OUT MY HAND, AND NO MAN REGARDED;
But ye have set at nought all my counsel, and would none of my reproof:
I also will laugh at your calamity; I will mock when your fear cometh;
When your fear cometh as desolation, and your destruction cometh as a whirlwind; when distress and anguish cometh upon you.
Then shall they call upon me, but I will not answer; they shall seek me early, but they shall not find me:
For that they hated knowledge, and did not choose the fear of the Lord:
They would none of my counsel: they despised all my reproof.
Therefore shall they eat of the fruit of their own way, and be filled with their own devices.
For the turning away of the simple shall slay them, and the prosperity of fools shall destroy them.
BUT WHOSO HEARKENETH UNTO ME SHALL DWELL SAFELY, AND SHALL BE QUIET FROM FEAR OF EVIL.

"adds nothing to either the process or the content of political debate except combustible, nasty, fuel that polarizes, divides, and deflects people"

This is not religion we're talking about here. These people are political activists for their respective churches promoting sectarian fear and hatred in order to get their sects ideas into power. Calling this religious behavior debases the function of religion. This kind of behavior is also despicable in politics as well, but since the majority tend to enjoy it, and it isn't illegal (usually) political candidates encourage it. The recent myth is that negative campaigning works. Maybe it does, but it is unworthy of attention by civilized, truly religious people.
