For example, you have facts and logic completely backward about aryans and nazis. Please study the history of the Nazi and Aryan movement in Germany. You will easily realize that this supremacist movement started after Sir William Jones created the idea of an aryan invasion in 1786. The swastika used by the nazis was borrowed in the 1800s from the Hindus who have been using it for ovr 7000 years, and it is a mirror image. So, to trying to make a connection between a linguistically based theory from 1786 about an aryan invasion 7000 years ago and the Nazi regime in germany is simply illogical.

Christians have a peaceful existence in India inspite of their perpetual tendency of proselytizing and supremacist attitude. Sonia Gandhi is the most powerful politician in India and is Christian. Her son Rahul Gandhi is an aspiring PM candidate and is a Christian. Several defence ministers have been Christians. Christians are 1-2% of the population of India, similar to Pakistan. I have mentioned before, the only time Hindus have reacted violently has been in self-defence. For example, after the Godra train burning by LOCAL muslims, they reacted. After LOCAL Sikhs killed Prime Minister Gandhi, they reacted. After LOCAL Christians in Orissa killed a Hindu leader, they reacted. Otherwise, minorities of all types have lived in peace among Hindus for thousands of years. It is no accident that Zorastrians survive only in India among Hindus and not in their homeland. Jains, Sikhs, Buddhists, Jews, Christtians, Muslims, Atheists have a refuge among Hindus.

Your trivial knowledge and reference to the aryan invasion theory and South Indians is also amusing. South and North Indians are Hindus, so I am not sure what your point is. Also, there is no archeological evidence that demonstrates the existence of "Aryans". This is an old theory created by Sir Willian Jones in 1786 based on his interest in linguistics. DNA studies have shown that haplotypes such Y R1a are prevalent throughout India and are have the highest density in Kashmir - higher than Ukraine and the Russian Steppes. So, "aryan invasion" has no basis in archeology or molecular biology. Historical linguistics is a field of interpretation and not science.

Now, back to the real problem: the intolerance and violence which is prevalent in Islam.
Experiments in political science are difficult, but Pakistan and India are a rare example. People of the same DNA and genes that share common languages, rituals, and cultures (e.g. Punjabi, Sindhi, etc..) are separated by religion. In just 60 years, there have been clear results.
India (based on Hinduism and Vedanta) is a tolerant, pluralistic, vibrant, nonaggressive democracy. Progress is seen in politics, economics, education, etc... India has had Presidents who are Muslim, Hindu, Dalit, female; Prime ministers who are Sikh, Hindu, female; Defense ministers who are Christian, Hindu, Sikh; powerful politicians are even Italian Catholics like Sonia Gandhi. More progress needs to made in many places in Indian society, but even in America Blacks had very limited rights till the 1960's and now Obama is president. In contrast, Pakistan has become an increasingly intolerant and violent society. Pakistan used to have 40% Hindus, and now it is only 1%. Hindus are a peaceful and tolerant people. Hinduism and it's philosophical source Vedanta have led to a tolerant and pluralistic society, and it has been the source of ideas like unity, meditation, yoga, ahimsa (nonviolence), vegetarianism, and respect for all living things. In Gujrat, the riots were in REACTION to the horrible murder of Hindu pilgrims by burning alive innocent women, children, and men by LOCAL muslims. When Pakistani muslims committed acts of terrorism like Mumbai, there were no riots. This is because Hindus are peaceful and reasonable. Also, Muslims in India are learning their lesson like the Sikhs. Sikhs with the support of Pakistani Muslims committed horrible acts of terrorism in the 1980's. They have now learned their lesson and are behaving as civilized members of society. The forgiving Hindus have even allowed a Sikh (2%) to become their Prime minister less than 20 years after Sikh terrorism. Can you imagine any Muslim country allowing a 2% minority Prime Minister soon after that same community participated in terrorism and asassination of a PM? No, only Hindus have such tolerance and understanding.

In general, Muslims in India have learned from Hindus how to live in a civilized manner. In contrast, muslim majority countries have no democracy or tolerance of minorities. Muslims in India have been Presidents, movie stars, tennis players, CEO's, cricket players etc... Meanwhile, Pakistan has gone from 40% Hindu to 1%, and is a failing state. Female muslims in India have more rights than in Muslim nations.
There are no known Al queda members from the Indian muslim community. This not a accident. It is the result of a millenia old Hindu culture which has allowed minorities such as muslims to have more political rights and economic oppportunities than is possible in Muslim countries.

Denying, covering up, and justifying violence is not the solution. Address the problem of Islamic terrorism and violence directly, for the sake of your daughters, sisters, wives, and mothers if nothing else. Finding small flaws in Hinduism may be fun, but it will never explain of correct the violence in Islam.

Does your Pepsi lack pep? Is your Coke not the real thing? India's Hindu nationalist movement apparently has the answer: a new soft drink made from cow urine.
The bovine brew is in the final stages of development by the Cow Protection Department of the Rashtriya Swayamsevak Sangh (RSS), India's biggest and oldest Hindu nationalist group, according to the man who makes it.
Om Prakash, the head of the department, said the drink – called "gau jal", or "cow water" – in Sanskrit was undergoing laboratory tests and would be launched "very soon, maybe by the end of this year".
"Don't worry, it won't smell like urine and will be tasty too," he told The Times from his headquarters in Hardwar, one of four holy cities on the River Ganges. "Its USP will be that it's going to be very healthy. It won't be like carbonated drinks and would be devoid of any toxins."
The drink is the latest attempt by the RSS – which was founded in 1925 and now claims eight million members – to cleanse India of foreign influence and promote its ideology of Hindutva, or Hindu-ness.
Hindus revere cows and slaughtering them is illegal in most of India. Cow dung is traditionally used as a fuel and disinfectant in villages, while cow urine and dung are often consumed in rituals to "purify" those on the bottom rungs of the Hindu caste system.
In 2001, the RSS and its offshoots – which include the opposition Bharatiya Janata Party – began promoting cow urine as a cure for ailments ranging from liver disease to obesity and even cancer.
The movement has often been accused of using more violent methods, such as killing 67 Christians in the eastern state of Orissa last year, and assaulting women in a pub in Mangalore last month. It also has a history of targeting foreign business in India, as in 1994, when it organised a nationwide boycott of multinational consumer goods, including Pepsi and Coca Cola.
The cola brands are popular in India, now one of their biggest markets, but have struggled in recent years to shake off allegations, which they deny, that they contain dangerous levels of pesticide.
Mr Prakash said his drink, by contrast, was made mainly of cow urine, mixed with a few medicinal and ayurvedic herbs. He said it would be "cheap", but declined to give further details about its price or ingredients until it was officially launched.
He insisted, however, that it would be able to compete with the American cola brands, even with their enormous advertising budgets. "We're going to give them good competition as our drink is good for mankind," he said. "We may also think of exporting it."

Just a few months ago newspapers in America reported that in a town in the Midwest (near Chicago), an Indian man had married a woman of different caste. The man was from a lower caste. The father of the girl was furious. He burned down the apartment ofthe young couple. She died.

Every now and then India's newspapers report young brides are burned alive in India for not bringing "enough" dowry.

Reports also surface from India, sons pushing their widowed mothers on the pyre in rituals called Sati. The widows are burned alive in sadistic way.

In Islamic cultures, even children are taught to rejoice as lambs are ritualistically and religiously decapitated slowly, as their warm blood squirts everywhere, eyes full of terror, and voices squealing for their mothers.
Enough! Eboo. Enough warm and fuzzy statements. Enough deflections and obfuscations. Enough pretending that violence is not part of the core of Islam. You fool no one, but yourself.
You provide cover for some of your fellow muslims who have violence and hatred in their hearts, but they have you as their confused Indian apologist to provide cover. THIS is your crime.

On January 31, I wrote the follwing to you. It seems prescient given the wife beheading in Buffalo, NY last week by a Pakistani-American Muslim.

"The Muslim world should be the real target of your intrafaith dialogues for tolerance and peace. Make Islam less violent, and you will have done humanity a great favor.
Help Muslims reject violence for real. Just saying Islam is a religion of peace to other faiths will not work. For example, take concrete action like prohibiting the beheading of animals when celebrating Islamic festivals. This will lead to less beheading of humans (muslim and nonmuslim) in the Islamic world. Which "muslim world" is the US reaching out to?

Indonesia - recently passed a fatwa against yoga. Yes, you read that correctly. Can a religion be more intolerant, primitive, supremacist, and insecure?

Pakistan - Agreed to Sharia law to supercede their constitution in Swat. Poll: 76% of muslims in Pakistan want sharia. If your jaw doesn't drop, you don't know how primitive sharia law is.

Iran - nuclear weapons and elimination of Israel. Enough said.

Afghanistan - Taliban terrorism. Throwing acid on young girls because they want to go to school.

U.S.A. - "modern and moderate" muslim beheads his wife in Buffalo, NY.

Eboo writes: "Improve mutual respect and understanding between Americans and Muslims around the world". Key word is MUTUAL. A supremacist ideology like Islam cannot demonstrate mutual respect. So lets see if the yoga-banning "muslim world" that Eboo writes about can show MUTUAL respect.
