Scripture for All to Read

As a Baptist, I believe in soul freedom. That is, the individual can read, know., and understand Scripture without help. As an heir of the Reformation, I also believe in the accessibility of Scripture for all laity. That said, I feel it is very unwise to ignore history, tradition and the teaching of the Church. That's why I read the Scripture, often accompanied by a systematic theology and/or commentaries.
