Government should keep out of end-of-life questions
End-of-life care should be managed and decided between the patient, the patient's family, and medical professionals. Government should be kept out of the consultation.

'Being' good and 'doing' good
There is a difference between "being" good and "doing" good. Atheists do some wonderfully noble things; but they do so in spite of themselves and because of the common grace of God.

Episcopal Unorthodoxy
The only thing that has divided the Anglican community is the failure of orthodoxy on the part of the Episcopal Church in the United States. The Catholic Church didn't contribute to that. Sadly, the Episcopalians did it to themselves.

Nothing Has Changed
There is clearly a significant force of extremists who have merged an ideology with some of the more incendiary paragraphs in the Qur'an. It is a volatile mix. Sadly, there is no religious solution.

A 'Grave Threat'
I applaud the President's commitment to reduce the spread of nuclear weapons and to seek a world free from them. There is also, however, a moral imperative to prevent violent regimes, such as Iran, from developing--and proliferating--nuclear weapons.

Ordaining Gays Means Losing Legitimacy

Unfair to Paint All Religions with Same Brush
So please don't confuse Christian teaching with the offensive practices of other faiths (Islamist discrimination against women, for example). Interestingly, for the last several centuries, campaigns for equal rights for women have largely been led by Christians.

Any "solution" that permits gay "marriage" is no solution at all. Instead, it's another effort to deconstruct--to pick apart--the very institution that is essential for upholding the social order.

Compassion Makes the World Better
The Bible is filled with commandments that we're to care for the least of these, seek justice, and tend to widows and orphans. I think if all religions made a serious effort to behave this way, this would be a better world.

There Are No Atheists
Yes, even atheists pray because the image of God is implanted in us. Independent studies have showed that we yearn to know God. It’s the way we’re wired. So to be an atheist takes a stubborn refusal to acknowledge that which deep down we all know to be true.
