Thank you for making Islam a little more understandable. Violence receives headlines. Understanding requires time and effort. Perhaps one day it will be considered proper for each of our two respective religions to once again apply the scriptures that allow us to not only live in harmony, but also be friends as we worship in our own ways.
Until then, the work of individuals "witnessing" to the value of their religions by the peace in their hearts and concern for problems of our fellow men (and women) will have to do the work of bringing God's will to this earth one neighborhood and one friendship at a time.

This is all well and good, but on what moral authority does this man speak/write? After all, isn't it his family's autocratic regime that is looking the other way on all kinds of humanitarian offenses, from barring free speech and press, torturing detainees, decriminalizing honor killings, trafficking in human beings, et cetera?
