Republicans and so called intellectual advocates for the Reagan Doctrine such as columnist Charles Krauthhammer and ambassador Jean Kirkpatrick should always remember that they and the late president Ronald Reagan are the ones who re-invented, supported and financed modern “jihad” after it has been dead and forgotten by Muslims for over 700 years. When Ronald Reagan declared in his 1985 State of the Union Message his support for the “Mujahideen” as Freedom Fighter, he set the stage for a monster in the making. Little did the conservative Republicans knew that these Mujahideen would one day haunt and attack the very hand that created and supported them. In his determination to appose the Soviet Union and its expanding military and political influence around the world, the Reagan White House with input and management from the CIA sought to defeat the Soviet Union in Afghanistan and else where. Someone must have been very clever within the Reagan Administration to even suggest the name “Mujahideen” as the name of Muslim fighters in Afghanistan. Billions of US dollars were spent on recruiting potential fighters from around the Arab and Muslim World to come to Afghanistan and join the Jihad. Like ideological armies before the Mujahideen, such as the Nazi Arm, Soviet Army and the Israeli Army, the CIA recruited political and ideological offices such as Sheik Abdullah Yusuf Azzam and Sheik Omar Abdul-Rahman (convicted of organizing the first attack on the World Trade Center) as the political officers of these Mujahideen. Osama bin Laden was one of those recruited by the CIA to head to Pakistan and help organize the recruitment of Muslim Jihadists from around the world. Tens of millions of dollars of CIA money funded the office of “ Maktab Alkhadamat” Office of Services to facilitate Muslim Jihadists joining the American fight against the Soviet Union. It is these Muslim Jihadists that are now menacing their former sponsors. Many of the Arab governments that allowed the CIA to recruit its citizens for the fight in Afghanistan later became the victims of these very American Jihadists. The late Robin Cook, the former British foreign secretary gave a very logical explanation of the meaning of Al-Qaida, which he defined as database, computer files of the tens of thousands of former veterans of the CIA Mujahideen War in Afghanistan. One should not forget the great support and of course the greatest of benefits the Pakistani’s Inter-Service Intelligence Agency which was the commercial manager of the Mujahideen war against the Soviet, with officers and agents making millions of dollars. Please let us not forget and never let these Republican conservatives leading the war on terror that they are the one who in the first place are responsible for the resurrection and rise of modern day Islamic Jihad. It was they who redefined Jihad to fit their Reagan Doctrine and it was they who organized and managed the Holy War in Afghanistan. Time for an Islamic Renaissance and to dump Al-Azhar

The case of the “top” Islamic cleric in Australia. Sheik Taj el-Dene Elhilaly and his assumption that unveiled women invite rape and a similar retarded “fatwa” from Sheik Mohamed Kamal Mustafa, the former imam of the Spanish southern town of Fuengirola who published a book called” Women in Islam” in which he finds justifications if not promotion of “wife beating” as a way to solve marital problems and we need to add to that the likes of Syed Ikram Jilani of Oslo among others, raises serious problems and issues about how low can these “Islamic” clerics takes Islam.
Perhaps unlike other religions with a well defined hierarchy of “priest hood” and rabbinic hierarchy, there are no such hierarchies in Islam, and any Islamic hierarchy of “imams” is an invention of modern states but not of the Holy Quran. The Holy Quran has more faith and trust in the judgment of individuals that did trust in these new “inventions”.
These days, every Mohamed, Ali and Mahmoud or Taj eldin who failed at other professions becomes expert on Islam and takes over a mosques, such as the case in England, USA, Australia, among others, where mentally retarded and semi-illiterates becomes imams and start giving fatwas left and right and start to be the ugly, illiterate and retarded face of Islam.
As a testimony of how low these mentally retarded and illiterate imams came to be we are not surprise that some of these think that the mentally retarded and murderers Taliblans are the “perfect” caliphates putting forward the Taliban state as a model of an Islamic state. There must be something very wrong with these people. Simply mentally sick.
If Islam and early Muslims who opened the world to Islam where of such mentality and attitude, for sure Islam would not have left Mecca and would have been a religion that died before it started. These people and so many like them forget that Islam is a religion and faith of knowledge, of science, of education, of travel and most of all of social justice, with very strict and high standards of criminal accusation and convictions.
With so many of these illiterate and retarded imams, who not only hijacked our mosques, but also hijacked our faith, perhaps it is time for Islam to have another renaissance, similar to that of Europe in the Middle Ages. Perhaps what we need now more than ever is a “reformation movement” that will redefine again Islam as the way it was intended for “all ages”. Enough with today’s imams going back to thousands of years to find true and intelligent answers to days issue and concerns of Muslims. We all know that the “door” of “Ijtihad” or prudence was closed some centuries ago, as if modern day scholars are unable to reach for the truth except to going back in time. If Islam is the faith for all times, then we need scholars for the future and not only for the past and yes, why not for a new ‘reformation” movement that can take Islam to the future instead of keeping it in the past. Perhaps it is time for Muslims and those attending mosques to get more educated and more enlightened “imam:” than the retards we are getting these days to lead us in prayers. When I go to mosques I want to hear an intelligent and enlightened sermon, not to hear some imbecile who happens to recite few suras and never read another book in any language to give and share his ignorance with the believers. I am sure there are enough Islamic scholars in the US to take charge and lead us forward and liberate Muslims from retarded imams such as Sheik Taj el-Dene Elhilaly or Sheik Mohamed Kamal Mustafa or someone like Abu-Hamza Al-Masry. It is time to throw out these retards out of the mosques and reclaims our mosques again. Who said that Al-Azhar have to be the only “religious” reference for Muslims. There are enough intelligent and smart scholars in the US and Europe to lead the way to an Islamic Renaissance.

Pakistan have been manufacturing terrorists for a long time. President Musharaf decrees could not change the production lines of the Madrasa.

The tragic events at the Red Mosque in Pakistan and the killing of some hundreds of students should remind all of us that Pakistan was and is the main source of radicalism and Islamic fundamentalists and the source of Islamic terrorism.

The British created Pakistan as a favor to one of their favorite Ali Jinah the “secular Muslim” who enjoyed “scotched on the rocks” and enjoyed the company of beautiful British women and who was the least qualified to run and lead a new Muslim nation.

Britain remains solely responsible for years of conflicts between India and Pakistan and remains responsible the millions of people who died as a direct result of the British decision to divide the Indian subcontinent into two separate states, secular India and Muslim Pakistan.

While democracy and economy flourished in India despite all odds, Pakistan was and remains for the most part a military dictatorship run and operated by generals even at a time when Pakistan has a nominal civilian rule. The military always remained in charge and remains the source of Islamic radicalism and Islamic terrorism.

Of course the Pakistani military has some help from outside, in fact had a great deal of help from non other than the CIA. The relationship goes back to the early fifties and became a real partnership in the last days of President Carter and the early days of President Reagan.

The main trigger was the take over in Afghanistan a pro-Soviet government and of course with the cold war as a real war; the American covert intervention in Afghanistan preceded the Soviet invasion of Afghanistan in January 80 just in time for President Reagan to take the helm in Washington and the birth of modern and radical Jihad.

The Soviet invasion was the golden age of the cooperation between the American CIA and the Pakistani military and Inter-Services Intelligence Agency. To fight the Soviet, both the CIA and Pakistan sponsored the Mujahideens as a formidable Muslim Jihadist force. The CIA pumped billions of dollars in recruiting radical Muslims from around the Arab and Muslim world with the help and active support of intelligence and security organizations within these countries and for sure with generous payments to these security agencies. Some online reports even goes further and claim that Pakistani Director of Military Operations Brigadier Mian Mohamed Afzal was formally on the payroll of the CIA. This close cooperation remained the core policies of the government of General Zia ul-Haq, Banazir Bhutto, Nawaz Sharif and certainly General Musharaf.

Pakistan with very generous financial support from the CIA and many counties in the Middle East went on an ambitious campaign of establishing “Muslim Madrasas” similar to the Jewish Yeshivas where radical Islam was taught and practiced providing fertile ground for recruiting fighters to join the Mujahideens. The CIA, Arab and Muslim countries not only provided recruits for the war against the Soviet, but also provided weapons and modern weapons (Stinger missiles) denied to Washington’s closest allies.

It seems that the only ones who could not see what was happening and who could not predict the future and the danger of radical Islam are the not so smart senior leadership at the White House and the CIA. One has to wonder how could a murderer and criminal who threw acid water against women in Kabul University could become a prime minister. This is exactly what happens when Gulbuddin Hykmatyar, the opium dealer was the darling of Washington and Pakistan. Of course not to mention Talibans and Osama.

President Musharaf will have a tough time taking control of the many radical “madrasas” that graduate terrorists and Muslim radicals posing a greater danger to the entire Muslim world and pose a greater danger to countries such as the US and the UK. It is not that easy to erase 40 years of radical teachings and promoting jihadist ideology where killing and murder becomes an easy way to heaven and the virgins in waiting.

Pakistan and the world are paying the price for Pakistan’s ill-advised policies of promoting and sponsoring radical Islam and sponsoring and promoting “madrasas”. The only graduate of these schools are terrorists, certainly not teachers and scientist or even physicians. These schools have been manufacturing killers for many years. A presidential decree could not change the production lines of these schools. There are hundereds of thousands of Maulana Abdulaziz and Abdulrasheed Ghazi.

Tehran's conference on the Holocaust was a shameful act of stupidity

The conference on the Holocaust sponsored by Iran’s president Mohamed Ahmadinejad in Tehran from December 11-12, 2006 was a simply act of stupidity, ill advised and with no purpose other than to give anti-Muslims more ammunition on how retarded Islamic politics have become. Of course the turn up of the likes of the former KKK David Duke is nothing to be proud of.
While as Arabs and Muslims we have lots of issues to pick with Israel and Zionism, the Holocaust must not be one of those issues. It is time for our people to simply admit the fact that, yes, Hilter's Germany did kill more than 6 million Jews, simply because they are Jews and of course Hitler’s army also killed many more millions. Never the less, it is a simple fact that no one can deny and documents of liberating US Army is but a proof of that. Moreover it is also stupid and unethical to argue about the numbers, whether it is 3 millions, or 5 millions of 6 millions is irrelevant. The simple fact that the Holocaust was a crime against the Jews and against humanity and we all must, once for all honor the memory of all those who died.
Of course we also know that key Zionist leaders made the Holocaust an “industry” a cash machine for the benefit of Zionist causes and for the State of Israel to squeeze money, sympathy and black mail out of Germany and Europe. Anti-Zionist Jewish intellectuals take issue with how Zionist used the Holocaust to advance the agenda of the Zionist and Israel and how the money generated did not serve well those who survived.
While the Holocaust will remain a “unique” crime against humanity, there are similar and perhaps equally compelling crimes committed against the Armenians, the Blacks of Africa arising out of colonialism and of course centuries of American slavery of Blacks that resulted in tens of millions of dead victims. Yes, no one should ever forget nor forgive the Holocaust and those who committed it, but we also must remember the many innocent millions who were killed and murdered simply because they are Black or Christian Armenians. That does not ever give Israel and the Zionist the right or the excuse to expel more than 700,000 Palestinians from their home lands and deny the more than 6 million Palestinians the right to their own free state and does not give any excuse to Israel and the Zionist for insisting on keeping some 4 million Palestinians under armed and criminal occupation that not only jails them, kills them, humiliate them, but confiscate and steal their property as well, for the benefits of Jews. That is simply wrong.
Perhaps it was much better for the President of Iran to sponsor a conference on Zionism and its crimes, and its racist ideology, rather than sponsor a conference on the Holocaust. It is time for even the worst enemies of Israel to stop denying the Holocaust and admit that 6 million innocent Jews where put to their deaths simply because they are Jews. The crimes of the Holocaust is not a crime against Jews, it is a crime against Muslims, and more so a crime against German Christian who committed this horrible crime and a crime that should shame Christendom for all of the crimes committed in Europe, in African, in the Middle East, in Latin America and of course here at home in the USA. The president of Iran proved that he is of simple mind, and simple view. There is no honor in being in the company of former KKK the like of David Duke, and there is no honor in being in the company of anti-Semite. Yes, denying the Holocaust is a form of anti-Semitism, criticizing Israel and taking issues with Zionism is not and must not be acts of anti-Semitism, a label used to threatened any discourse on Israel, its policies, practices and of course on Zionism, its history, its ideology and practices. Here in this country, we are free to debate God, whether he/she exists or not, we can debate, whether God is a man or woman, we can debate Jesus, Moses, Abraham, Mohamed. We can even debate George Bush how smart or how not so smart he is, we can debate the creation, we can debate any and all issues without ever getting in trouble, but God forbid, we debate Israel and Zionism. There is nothing wrong with Arab leadership and intellectuals and the people on the streets to recognize and denounce the Holocaust a crimes against humanity, a crime against the Jews, and their is nothing wrong with Jewish intellectuals and civil right leaders to also recognize that the expulsion of Palestinians from Palestine and the continued ethnic cleansing of "Arabs" are also a crime against humanity. The Arabs have to recongize the wrongs done to the Jews and the Jews have to recognize the wrongs done to the Arabs, then and only then, there will be room for understanding and certainly room for reconciliation.

It's great to begin the dialogue about Islam in America, in the world, and in our personal lives.

Just as Islam needs a Luther, it also needed a James Baldwin, a strong writer who could challenge the propaganda and the status quo. To that extent, I commend Ayaan Hirsi Ali and Irshad Manji for their boldness in raising issues not yet addressed in the Muslim community, which is still managing a public relations crisis while inter-community problems fester.

At some point leaders will address the nasty little secrets about incest and domestic violence, which are not condoned by Quran, but which are as problematic in some Muslim communities now as it was in some Christian churches before a few bold individuals brought it to light.
