I'm confused by Mr. Berlinerblau's comment. Secularism, I assume, is a
worldview just as Christianity is considered a worldview. Your worldview refers to the belief system that has become the lens through which you see life and make decisions. How could someone who is a follower of Christ see politics any differently than he or she sees any other facet of life? Being a Christian is not life enhancement that can be put on and taken off like a sweater. It is who I am. It is how I think, believe, and act. There is no separation when thoughts of politics come to question.
The issue here may be that for the first time in a long time, people with a God-centered worldview are in positions where their voices are being heard and their issues are being recognized. This is catching attention from arenas that have been, for the most part, "protected” from a God-centered worldview by members of the media who hold to what some might consider a "secular worldview." Mr. Berlinerblau's observation that secular ideas are not getting equal time as Christian ideas.... Humorously I would be tempted to say - "We totally understand how you feel!"
But maybe we are finally moving toward a time when Christians aren’t lumped into groups with extremists and labeled as "fundamentalists” and the "religious right" and could just be recognized as people with a different worldview. Somehow I feel that we aren't quite there yet.
