Mr Mark:

The real problem with "lining up with god's righteousness" is that our Constitution demands a higher righteousness than that offered by any religion or their gods, including that offered by the Xian version.

God's righteousness - any god's righteousness - is at best whimsical, at worst, maniacal, vindictive and destructive. Simply put, god's righteousness is a sub-standard righteousness, especially when set against the higher righteousness of America's founding documents, which enshrine a righteousness conceived by, written by and for the governing of men BY men, not gods.

Lining up with god's righteousness is a poor cousin when compared to lining up with the higher righteousness enshrined in our Constitution.

Ash:

Sorry, Leith, but I really don't think slaughtering random tribes and raping their virgins is really going to fly domestically in America today. However, we have started a murderous war overseas that meets many of your godling's standards. Perhaps you should emigrate.

Absolutely correct, "The best way to apply God’s standards is to amend the way we live."

First notice, (Ref: http://www.hoax-buster.org/sellyoursoul ) that the being in the burning bush, the one Moses made the deal with the way politicians make deals with evangelical ministers, that supernatural being has been identified from sacred scriptures. IT is the biggest Devil of them all, Lucifer.

With that in mind remember that there is but one deadly sin, blasphemy -violation of first commandment = no strange God(s).

Thus, those who say the Bible is God's word when it's clearly the word of Devil blaspheme. I'll simplify that for you: blasphemer and evangelical are synonyms.

That makes the reason for "amending your life" a no brainer. Evangelicals must amend their lives else all are going to hell -just like your minister said by the way. Of course the big money and the high office goes to those who lead the multitudes to hell. Enjoy your riches for hell awaits blasphemers.

I would say repent but I'm not sure that the sin if blasphemy can even be forgiven. It's blasphemy, (hell was made for blasphemers) to put words in God's mouth so I'll decline to offer an opinion. Of course blasphemers are overflowing-loaded with opinions about what God wants.

Blasphemer, amend your life but it may be too late to repent. Burning your Bible might help but I can't say for sure and refuse to guess for fear of blaspheming. Please don't ask me to be a blasphemer. I already know you think blasphemy is righteous.
