I wish Jeremiah Wright had made his point without saying “God damn America,” but not for a moment do I wish he had been less prophetic.

To Mr. John Buchanan,
I deplore of your criticizing CNN. The network has reported what has happened and has put it in proper contest.

To Mr. John Buchanan,
I understand that you love your friend, Jeremiah Wright and you would not want him to be in the position that he's facing now but I do have a few comments: First let me say that I am an African American female Christian and am a member and Sunday school teacher in a bible believing church:
Jesus tells us to love our neighbor and help the widows and the orphans which I commend Trinity Church for their missionary work.
However, I don't believe that Jeremiah Wright is a prophet of God nor do I agree that his teaching should be equal to Jeremiah, Daniel, Zechariah, Isaiah, Nehemiah, etc....Nor do I believe for one minute that any of the prophets falsely accused the Roman government of putting a disease on an entire race of people (let's say the Jews). The Romans had in fact, persecuted, executed, killed children and babies, and were the most heinous murderers but that was a fact; it did happen.
Again, if my pastor ever, ever stated anything like I heard Jeremiah Wright state: I would've left that church in a heartbeat. In addition, if I heard my pastor preach false doctrine again, I would leave my church.
I can say that my pastor has seen many people leave our church which was due to his preaching about holiness, sin, repentance, sanctification, the judgment to come. We as the body of Christ are taught that we should help the needy, feed the poor, pray and send offerings to the persecuted church but most of all; Jesus wants us to be conformed in the image of Him. Also, worship should not be about us; it’s about God. Pastors are preaching to entertain and stir people up; it’s just emotion; doesn’t mean you’re saved. Jesus was very clear that we should go into the world and make disciples and teach all that He had commanded. That’s what I want to hear in church; not emotional, worldly, carnal, emotional stuff.
How about we share a passion for loving our neighbor, ministering to the poor, living a true converted life (being born again, baptism of the holy spirit, not of water), having godly sorrow over our sin, repentance which leads to salvation, HOLINESS…, SHINING FOR CHRIST…NOT PUFFING OURSELVES UP.
I will pray that Jesus’ church become genuine born again, bible-believing, saved Christians not just church goers through the grace of the Living God by faith and more importantly, loving, obeying and following Christ; not a Pastor.
