I'm absolutely delighted to hear that ex-Prime Minister Tony Blair is becoming a Catholic! Welcome to the Catholic Church! Despite all its failings, it has done great things, has had thousands of great souls who sacrificed their lives to keep the faith alive and have added to its glorious spiritual treasures which came through the work of the Holy Spirit, whom Jesus Christ promised to all his followers.

Although personally I feel personally first and foremost as a Christian and not a Catholic, it is still a great experience to know that I could walk into any Catholic Church in the world and attend the same Mass.

Two great Anglicans to Catholicism that I have known personally are Dom Bede Griffiths OSB (his autobiography 'The Golden String' describes his spiritual journey) and Fr Alexander Sherbrooke.

I wish Mr Tony Blair a deepening of his Christian faith through the spiritual treasures available to him through the Catholic Church!

Confronting Evil has developed some of the most deepest and rewarding ties that make up our alliance with old Europe.

Consider the buzz bombs sent into London by the Nazis as acts of terrorism. One could consider homicidal bombers as being a cost effective means of terrorism eliminating overhead. Look at Kamikazie raids on battleships in the South Pacific during World War II to find roots of homicidal tendencies during war in an industrial age.

People willing to commit autrocities sacrificing their own lives in the process seems to represent a certain type of evilness to me.

And yet what actually started this mess and I will try to be specific. Is my theory that America's enemy chose three symbols of capitalistic aggression to attack on 09/11, the World Trade Centers, the Pentagon and the Whitehouse. And those symbols indicate a tendency to reject western influence in the middle east such as capitalism, regional military superiority and occupation by westerners in general going back through the Crusades.

So is this a rejection of progress itself if one were to consider Christianity as a progressive religion, I am not so sure. Certain parts of the world invaded and conquered in the name of Christianity would not consider Christianity to be a gentler and kinder religion.

In fact during Crusades Arabs in general were labelled infedels, Heathens through eyes not accustomed to the concept of equality. And so we have Our Consitution as a guiding moral force, that all men (and women) are created equal. In retrospect, modern crusades through orginal moral majorities fought against communism with assumed self righteousness that the United States represented the best God, Country and Government. Can we say that is true today ?

Nazis were hellbent on eliminating an entire race of people, Jews. While nazis committed genocide against Jews, experimentation took place in attempts to sterilize entirely this same race of people. Goal was not to allow conception among Jewish people. At the same time, nazis tried to eliminate all offspring born with birth defects and mental illnesses in an attempt to purify their own race.

The insanity was based on an absense of recognition of equality which continues in today's modern world, mainly described as hatred based on bigotries passed from generation to generation. And today in certain parts of the world conception is discouraged on wholesale by the Government.

As counter-balance there is Christ who proclaimed that we are all God's Children, equal in the eyes of the Lord. If not, he would have never proclaimed that gentiles are worthy of the Kingdom of Heaven, himself being a Jewish and Arab kid. He in fact became a Teacher to the Teachers. And he also became a threat to those trying to maintain the status quo.

I am most respectful of the Catholic Church in regards to science. I am not surprised that the Catholic Church has commented on Global Warming or Mother Earth protecting her inhabitants. That this church has accomadated science and appreciates discovery into a Universe manifested through a Creator like no other church in the history of mankind.

Of course as that history goes, progression was first rejected as being heritical in nature. And then benefits to God's children through science were accepted and accomadated as complicity with the qualities of goodness and not evil in nature, a tendency of mankind to label evil that which is not yet understood. My grandmother told me that ever since we put a man on the moon, the weather had been messed up, cough-cough.

OPEN LETTER: To/ Tony Blair...such an decision be be an absolute folly,that you join with an religious organization (as example) catholic church, where mental development be stunted in growth, that one having to accept as to follow, religious, ideas beliefs teachings, which are halfbaked (to be the least critical). Tony,I can only advise you not make such an foolish error,that consider your future lifes,as that of future spiritual development.You having reached an point in such,you can take an place on the international stage reperesenting all peoples all faiths.Your actions in this life,having won a place in the heart of many people,as to your period in office as PM. Tony, I remind, by the mercy of the father, if per'aps forgeting, one's duty unto the Almighty, be above all.

Tony Blair did his best to help President Bush start WWIII in Iraq. He failed but will now try to get it done in Palestine.

My answer is:

Yes, primarily because of our dependence on Mid East oil and our war on Islam.

If we had spent the $1 Trillion that we have squandered on the illegal and immoral preemptive invasion and occupation of Iraq on developing alternative energy sources instead, we would be well on our way to energy independence, and would have dramatically reduced the likelihood of WWIII.

If we did not unconditionally support the illegal and immoral Israeli usurpation of Palestine from its rightful owners, the Palestinian people, we would not have enraged the Islamic world, and would not have served as the catalyst for a probable WWIII.

Some argue that the “State of Israel” is legal because of the Balfour Declaration and its inclusion by the League of Nations in the British Mandate following WWI. However, the Balfour Declaration was the British response to the lobbying influence of the powerful Jews Baron Rothschild and Baron Hirsch.

So as a spoil of war after WWI, and as a result of the lobbying influence of wealthy Jews on the British government, Palestine was taken away from its rightful owners, the Palestinian people who had tended their flocks and orchards and farmed this land for millennia, and given instead to the Jews.

In a like manner it was the lobbying influence of the powerful American Israeli Political Action Committee (AIPAC) that mislead us into the moronic and disastrous preemptive invasion and occupation of Iraq. The dual motives for this disaster were our greed to control the world’s second largest oil field combined with the Israelis’ fear and loathing of Saddam Hussein. These same motives are at work in pushing us to bomb Iran’s suspected nuclear facilities.

Until we develop a fair and balanced policy with respect to Palestine, develop energy independence, and free ourselves from the influence of the Jewish lobby, the likelihood of starting WWIII will only increase.

Tony Blair's conversion to Catholicism pales to insignificance compared to the mess he and President Bush (and their predecessors all the way back to Harry S. Truman) have made of our world.
