I could not agree more that interfaith work is essential in today's world.
There are many paths to Truth.
Understanding and respecting other paths will help us come together in community.
Good work, Reverend Gary

Dear Rev Gray
Thank you for that insightful essay. In this day and age when passive faith handed down from parents or communities can no longer survive, it is vital for everyone to know what they believe and why. Interfaith dialogue, which another generation did not see any need for, is a necessity now, not a luxury anyone in this generation can ignore, if they choose to interact meaningfully with others in the global village.
For me Dom Bede Griffiths OSB ( http://www.bedegriffiths.com ) remains a shining beacon of how interfaith dialogue, and learning from other religions, can enrich and deepen one's own faith. My Christian faith broadened as a result of what Buddhism, Hinduism and a bit of Sufi Islam had to teach me (although I can't claim to have spent all that much time in learning).
I wish you great success in your own interfaith work in Washington!

Hello MR GRAY:
I agree! But it must be under "GRIDARIAN_DEMOCRACY" law & Order so to speaketh:
WHEREFORE:
Let it be know to ALL_HUMATES (each truly equal as a Citizen & Denizen of Slace_Ship Earth Tellus Gaia Geoid) that ALL INSTITUTIONS OF FAITH must have {mandatory law or risk removal as an entity all_togeth!} a "practice" of learning ALL FIVE MAJOR "PRE_APOCALYPTIC" RELIGIONS or Beliefs or Faith man made & zero G_d made System(s) so that each HUMATE will know & truly see (no_religious_jealousy allowed in heart nor mind for any of them five religion practioners) ONE_UNIVERSAL_RELIGION!
THEREFORE: One Universal Religion Book is the key to global peace & Healings of religious torn nations & their Humate populations!
VOTE For the "OUR_BOOK" aka "the BOOK OF OURS" book of One Universal Religion System!
ATT: "T H E _ L I O N" WOW!

"Faith" should not be strengthened - it should be weakened.
Reason, insight, and understanding should be strengthened.
