Praying for Courage, Wisdom

I pray for the courage and wisdom to make the best decisions. Knowing that we are trying to help those less fortunate, and unable on their own, to achieve some measure of stability and security in their lives inspires me to press on, even when times are especially difficult. Our desired outcome is peace. I know that true peace is beyond my comprehension but I will try my best and trust in God for guidance to do His will.

Admiral, the decision to pray for courage, wisdom, and to trust in God for guidance to do His will, is one of the most important decisions taken in this life.
When prayer to and trust in God is the order of the day peace is present.

Psalm 46:1
God is our refuge and strength, a very present help in trouble.

"Sir, I'm confused."

Well Brian. You said it and I agree. You are sadly confused.

Sir, I'm confused.

How is it that you seek wisdom, and you " ... are trying to help those less fortunate, and unable on their own, to achieve some measure of stability and security in their lives ...," and yet you have done nothing to remove your troops from their provicative occupation role in Iraq ?

Do you believe that brown-skinned Iraqis are creatures of almighty God, and that he cherishes each of them as much as he cherishes you ?
If so, why have you not embraced the "Model Communities" approach to stabilizing Iraqi towns and neighborhoods ?

As stated in the bible, "If any of you lack wisdom, let him ask of god, that giveth to all (men) liberally, and upbraideth not; and it shall be given." James 1:5

I appreciate your service to your country, and in seaking God's guidance in that service.

Pray for Wisdom at all times. Wisdom is the Principle thing. In all your getting get understanding. In all your ways acknowledge Him (the Creator God).

We need wisdom daily. In most decisions we make if we had the Wisdom of God we wouldn't make such foolish decisions in life. God said if you lack wisdom ask Him for it. How hard is that?
