Dear Ann,
I am certain that you do not remember me, but I have been teaching at Broughton H.S. for the past 22 years. I had the pleasure of teaching Jonathan and have, on several occasions, been in contact with him via email. I have not heard from him in several months and wondered how he was doing. It is no coincidence that Jonathan's emails always came at a time when I was undergoing some family illness or difficulty. His email were so encouraging. He was a very special student to me. My first encounter with him was as a 10th grade student. Looking out over my class of thirty, I couldn't help but notice a tall young man with crystal blue eyes. There was something very special about the way he looked at me, as if the light of God was shining through. I had no idea at that time that he was Reverend Graham's grandson. I taught him as a senior at Brouthton also. By that time, I knew well of his love of the Lord and his enduring faith. He taught me more than I taught him in many, many ways. I would want his grandfather to know of this and hope that you can convey it to him. You are a very special family and the legacy of your parent's good works is enduring. Your daughter Rachel Ruth graduated in my son Jason's class. I ran into her and her two daughters in the grocery store. She lives near me in north Raleigh. They, too, are a beautiful example of your strong family and faith.

This summer my husband was diagnosed with a very rare form of cancer. He had successful surgery at The Mayo Clinic and will undergo radiation and chemotherapy here in Raleigh. I am strengthened daily by the love of the Lord and Jesus Christ--knowing that faith dispells our fear and that no matter, we are loved and supported by God's love.

Your parents have inspired me in many ways and I want to thank you for the opportunity to know your children through my teaching at Broughton.

As you stated, once the seeds of the love of Jesus and his words are planted in one's heart, they cannot help but grow.

I send my heartfelt condolences to you, your father,the rest of the family and all her friends on the passing away of your mother, Ms Ruth Graham. It is a great blessing to be able to say of one's mother that one was loved unconditionally by her. Your mother's life filled with unconditional love as a faithful Christian wife and mother, and her love for Jesus, would remain an inspiration to Christians worldwide.

Example of love filled marriages that last until death does the partners apart never lose their incredible beauty, power and ability to give hope to all who seek love in a partnership that reflects God's faithful love in this life. I praise Our Lord Jesus Christ that your parents' marriage was one such and your mother reflected that faithful love till her death!

Mrs. Graham has long been an inspiration to me and in these last days, as I've seen photos that capture her radiance even in failing health, I rejoice with those in heaven who surely are rejoicing at a life well lived--a race well run. Thank you, Anne, for sharing your thoughts and reminding of the wonderful example your mother provided of how to drink from the well of living water. My prayers are with you and your family.

Too bad Mrs Graham never figured out that she was wasting her time following the demonstrably false religious precepts brainwashed into her as a child. Equally exasperating is Ms Lotz' obvious continuation of the misplaced fascination. Most disturbing is how society seems to think these people noble or honorable just because of their arrogance/conviction in a falsehood.

In light of Ms. Lotz's mother's death I find it very rude to discuss anything here, other than extending condolences.

I would appreciate, if you left Mrs. Graham's beliefs about the death penalty lie. All you know is what you read. You did not know her personally, therefore you can not judge her. And according to your Christian believes you are not allowed to judge her.

She has passed to another dimension and her daughter is hurting, no doubt.
