Are you reading the texts of the President of Iran's speeches translated by MEMRI? Perhaps the President of Iran should be made to visit a Holocaust museum next time he visits the United States, but he is not allowed in. He should be educated perhaps. Unless he is doing it to get attention from the west. He got your attention.

On the Holocaust, do not assume many people in Africa and Asia fully know the extent of it or even have heard of it. In the history books of Asians and Africans, the last century is focussed on the independence movements of their respective countries.

As for WWII, what happened in Europe is discussed generally. Southeast Asian and East Asian hisstory textbooks focussed on the Japanese occupation and atrocities in their respective lands.

World War II is discussed generally in the texts, and the Holocaust is part of the larger picture. Asian and African history books are mostly in their own languages. In fact, Africa and South America went through WW II relatively unscath by battles.

Currently, there is not a whole lot of books on sale in Asia and Africa on the Holocaust, if available, only in English too. Can't expect Asians and Africans to know too many details of the Holocaust, nor are there any Holocaust museums in Asia or Africa.

Go to a village in Asia or Africa and they would never have heard of it. Even urbanites who may know would not quite have the historical and religious knowledge and passion of Americans and Europeans on it. We have our own genocides in Africa and Asia, after WW II and till now.

Do take into consideration that some of us are are either ignorant of what happened in other places and are insensitive of them. Or both.

being a holocaust denier isnt necessarily the same as being a jew-hater- just like being a denier of the armenian holocaust in turkey doesnt mean at all that you are an armenian hater (this is very true in turkey where most turks deny the genocide of armenians but most have little animosity personally towards armenians)

Mahmoud Ahmadinejad is a holocaust denier and it is impossible to read what he says and not conclude that he hates Jews. He is clearly one class of "Israel critic" and he is not alone in being a member of this class.

But most critics of Israel do not hate Jews, indeed many ARE Jews. The fall into a completely different class.

I do believe you can be opposed to Zionism and not very happy about Israel without being classified as anti-semite. Which I might add is a bit wrong when used to constrict semites to Jews only.

First, a wrong by the nations of Europe, especially the Nazi Germans, is not remedied by given the lands of other victims to the Jews based on the Jewish religios fables.

Second, while for many years a romantic supporter of Israel; the Israelis have become liars and thieves. Israel ignores international law and UN mandates in regard to returning to its boundaries scantioned by threaties and UN rights, Isreal has been a real bad occupation force, and as the latest lash out at Lebanon has demonstarted an immoral destructive force in the ME. In Lebabnon, they destroyed the only real force that could have provided some support, killed thousands of innocents; used weapons of mass destruction indescrimantely; and again ignored UN and world law as they used improper and disproportunate force.
The fact that BushCo supported and incouraged Israeli actions is an argument for its illigitamcy, rather than a claim for a justification.
That Israel maintains "doomsday" nuclear weapons is not acceptable either.
Frankly I see no good reason to support Israel and I can not even begin to envison world peace as long as Israel squats on Palestinain lands.

Problems also arise with the foundations of the Judaism, Islam and Christianity:

1. Abraham is the reported founder of Judaism, Christianity and Islam. Based on all we know now, Abraham was at best a combination of three separate individuals with 1.5 million Conservative Jews no longer believing he existed at all. (ditto for all the characters in the OT).
