On Faith: Guest Voices: A Message From the Dalai Lama

HI, Da Lai La Ma?
I am just wondering if you start from a point of view from Buddhism or just by what you learned from other religions. I am kind of having strong belief of Buddhism. To lie means no one can get awakening or enlightening in Buddhism. What do you think of yourself being lying when you need to solve your so-called conflicts?

Though I'm not always at and being peaceful...most of creation is peaceful and good...and everything looks orderly from a few miles up.

From scanning radio stations I found that landing on any given channel on any given time one found a prodominantly positive development or story.

Of course, in life, you have to brush your teeth...and that can mean a great deal. Cavities aren't evil but they happen as the bacteria try to live and survive and do their jobs.

I wonder how this current crisis between the Tibetan people and China will work out? Will the people of Faith do something to help or just talk and say a passing prayer? Will they be onlookers while people are killed and punished for seeking freedom of religion, the right to have their own culture and of self determination? Will these people of Faith say, "Oh that is their problem not ours." Will they get out on a limb against the world mega giant of China? Public Opinion is the most powerful tool men and women of goodwill have in the world today, will the people of Faith use it to help? Now we will see who are the heroes and who are the pretenders. Now we will see who believes in their own Faith enough to express/live it in this time of need to help others. The Dalai Lama is now being character assinated by China. This man we know in the West as a saint and a champion of kindness and justice needs friends now more than ever. What are the people of Faith going to do? I ask you!
