Well, what does a "religion" stand for? We are all confused seeing the way Islam is being pursued.Volumes could be written to define religion. However,in legal parlance, briefly,"religion" could be interpretted to connote some noble set of principles to regulate human needs! Does the version of Islam that we are facing today qualify such a terminology, or,the religion of Islam is not a religion but a killers'"cult",or certain radical Clerics are pursuing their own demonic version to enforce Islam in the globe by force? What "noble set of principles" are being followed in propogating the mission of Islam? Is blasting of innocent people, men women and children, through suicide-bombers,or by other means, and letting a trail of mayhem of bloodbath around, permitted in Islam? We have got chilling questions but no ethical answer.BBC-also gave some interesting reading of Jihad in its column of Oct-2001. Some readers have said here that every Muslim is not a terrorist, but, why every terrorist is a Muslim fully trained, well equipped with all types of the world's deadliest of arsenal? Why are they out killing the innocent people? Why don't they dare indulge in a face to face fight with the armed forces if they have a grudge against some other country? Which religion sanctions killings? Who is going to teach the reason to eschew violence?

VICTORIA:

i cannot separate my american identity from my muslim identity- nor is it in any way reasonable to expect me to do so.
nor can my entire being be focused on always apologizing for or pandering to others misconceptions.
