Quantum Leaps of Faith

Theology overheard while studying:

EE: Hey, {Computer Science roomate}! Guess what? {Mathematics roomate} is in a quantum state! He says he tends towards belief in God.

CS: That's interesting! {Mathematics roomate}, you're in a superposition between belief and disbelief. What are your normalization coefficients? Perhaps 1/root(2).

M: You guys are such nerds.

To be fair, my offhanded comment regarding Mariology started it. If my Game Theory professor reads this blog, he'll now understand why my problem sets are occasionally less than stellar.

Chris,

That was great! I hadn't heard that before. Thanks for that.

Three engineers were arguing about the nature of god.

The mechanical engineer said "surely god is a mechanical engineer. Look at the musculoskeletal system - the joints, the tendons, the dexterity - it's genius! God is a mechanical engineer."

The chemical engineer said "no way, god is a chemical engineer. Look at all the chemical processes in the human body - the krebs cycle, the citric acid cycle - the enzymes - it's brilliant! God is a chemical engineer.

The civil engineer said "you guys are both wrong. God is a civil engineer. Who but a civil engineer would run a waste pipe through a recreational area?"
