Doubt is normal and natural. I would worry about someone who said to me that he hadn’t had any doubts. Even in the Bible we see examples of people of faith showing doubt. A father asking Jesus to help his sick son says: “I believe, help my unbelief!” (Mark 9:24).
If a person had no doubts, there would be no faith required. Just as there can be no bravery without fear, so too, there can be no willed faith without doubt and questions.
A lot of people think that you can intellectually work your way to God. I think you can intellectually come to the position that there is a God because no other explanation for reality of the universe satisfies. But to take the next step, that is to believe in the God of the Bible, the Christ who revealed Himself in history, requires a step of faith. So it is a very natural process when you have accepted something by faith to, from time to time, question it.
